Jamey Newberg released the second part of his mid-season Top 72 Prospects list.

The main thing that sticks out to me is that he is down to where he only has the top 12 to go, and there is still no Anderson Tejeda. I guess he still sees Tejeda as a major prospect, in the top 12. I just don't get the infatuation of our local guys, especially Jamey and Tepid, with Tejeda.

I really miss the old days where Jamey released his entire list at once.

I was hoping someone would tell me that I somehow missed him ranking Tejeda down around 40 or 50.

If I didn't miss him ranking him lower, and I checked both articles twice, then what I must have missed was a different set of stats for Tejeda than those guys are looking at.

Apparently Baseball America and MLB Pipeline are looking at the same stats that I am seeing, because they don't have him in the Rangers top 30.

Jamey got back with me to explain that he doesn't consider Tejeda a prospect any longer because of his brief time in the big leagues. That is good to hear.

Everyone does that a little differently. I know BA actually mentioned that Tejeda had fallen out of their list, so they still consider him a prospect.

Owen White at 36 for Jamey is a bit of a surprise. He is at 21 and 29 on BA and MLB Pipeline.

We have so many good prospects now that there is going to be a lot of 10 to 15 slot discrepancies. Otto and Hauver seem to be in that category when looking at the three lists.

It looks like Jamey will have Dustin Harris ranked several spots higher than those two services.

Zac Kent may climb more than anyone when the next list comes out at the end of the season, although I believe Evan had him at 19 a few days ago.
