I switched over to the Baltimore/ TB game. Orioles just scored. I’m hoping for a comeback

Howard trade still looking like one of the worst the team has ever made. And since JD took credit for it, I'll gladly give him the blame.

I hope the Rangers bring in a few studs this off-season via free agency.
2022-2023 free agent class looks weak..

vs a decently strong 2021-2022 free agent class

Yep, we may have to strike while the iron is hot. Get great hitters while they are available even if it is a year early.

That is because very few of these placeholders will be around here in 2 or 3 years. Our 25/26 man roster will be almost completely different and our 40 man will be vastly different.

None of these free agents excite me, for a variety of reasons

Since leaving, Hans Crouse has an ERA of 0.99 and a WHIP of 1.07 in two starts.

Thanks, front office.

small sample size, but his inclusion in that package wouldn't make any sense regardless of how he's doing. just an absolute disaster of a trade.

I wouldn't hold breath with this ownership group.

Scott Lucas' comments about the new rankings:

MLB.com updates its prospect rankings, and the Rangers rank higher than in a long time, placing five within the top 100 overall. Here's the top ten for the club (with MLB-wide top-100 in parentheses) plus players added in trades and the draft:

1 (12). RHP Jack Leiter (2nd-highest 2021 draftee after IF Marcelo Mayer at #9)
2 (52). IF Josh Jung
3 (66). RHP Cole Winn
4 (90). IF Justin Foscue
5 (100). C/IF Sam Huff
6. IF Josh Smith
7. IF Ezequiel Duran
8. IF Luisangel Acuna
9. IF Evan Carter
10. IF Maximo Acosta
13. TBD Trevor Hauver
16. IF Cameron Cauley (3rd-round pick)
19. OF Aaron Zavala (2nd-round pick)
24. RHP Glenn Otto

Those are the most aggressive and optimistic rankings I've seen recently. Baseball America ranked Leiter 33rd, Jung 38th and Winn 82nd in their recent updates.
