Before firing people, how about we allow Mac and the FO get a couple of draft cycles under their belt. Most of these guys are Pete's guys so lets get Mac guys and see what happens.
Not suggesting firing anyone this season or next season and I'm OK with them getting a couple draft cycles. However I'm not confident about the outlook.

You said fire the GM and coaching staff next season
I worded it badly but never said next season. I'm for keeping things as is until AFTER the 2025 season then see where the team is at. If it goes the way I think it will go, then start over. Personally don't feel JS is the right choice to land a franchise QB, you got to have some balls and move up to land that franchise guy or you have to be DAMN lucky and some how one falls in your lap. JS is too much risk adverse to ever gamble that way and yes it's a gamble but personally prefer the risk to seeing medicore outcomes that are JUST good enough not to get folks fired for a bit.

Always fun reading these threads… seems like most of us, if not all of us were cool with MacDonald being hired.

Hello jerseyhawksfan79,

I'm not at liberty to discuss the various strap on devices and objects that Sharkonabicycle may or may not wear during recreational or professional related activities. For all I know it could be several, but this is purely speculation.

I would encourage you to message directly. It is likely he will be back online posting within 24 hours.

Thanks!

Dr. Claire Thompson
Damn it! Does he eat people for recreational sport or for fun?

This team is filled with Pete guys that a few will probably stick but the rest need to be cycled out. You're asking way too much after 8 games. Look at Detroit and who they were under Campbell year 1 and look at them now. Timely trades and drafting is why they are now SB contenders. His first presser was about capping knees and I'm 100000000000000000000000000% sure not one Lions fan now would ever change that first image of him.

I've been a Seahawks fan since 1978. AO, JMR, and I have been talking to each other about the Seahawks since the late 90s.

On the other hand in 2009 Paul Allen fired Mora after 1 year and brought in PC and I think it would almost unanimously be agreed that was the right call.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating for letting MacDonald go after 1 season. Just pointing out we have seen success for this franchise in doing so.

Mora clearly had no control over the team and no direction. He lost the locker room as well.

If we keep up the complete lack of discipline we may enter that territory. They need to reign that shit in before its too late..

Gregg Bell was taking about the game this morning and pretty much agreed that it doesn't matter what you are installing or play calling if you can't compete on both lines against good teams.

He also reminded the fans that the offense failed twice inside the 5y and cost them 14pts they could have had.

The story was costly mistakes and a way outclassed defense.

The run game continues to be a problem and it mostly centers on line play.

He pointed out the many misses in the draft, trades, and injuries across that O line.

It's a total disaster right now.

I think most of us realized that the OL, particularly the interior line, was going to be a problem this year. The crazy injuries a RT made things worse of course. But it's not like any of us felt like Tomlinson and Bradford were the solution.

Maybe JS needs to farm out selecting OL players to someone else.

they need a new scouting room for Olineman, I am sorry but you cant continue to completely fail like they have. Start at the very bottom and work your way up. Also this team is playing like they dont have a Head coach at all. There is ZERO discipline and ZERO accountability right now. This team is built to be a running team yet they think the "Forward" running play is illegal or at least thats what it looks like. I dont want to hear how they cant run when they only get 1 yard a carry thats BS.

They are just SO blatent with the "run" call that when they do it everyone knows they are going to do it. If Geno is under center they run what feels like 99% of the time. Ever played poker with someone that always smiles when they have a GOOD HAND? The Hawks have a HUGE tell in the running game and bad play design in the running game. Thats on the OC who still thinks he is in College. When he was the Huskies OC i was never happy with how they looked on the field. Penix made that team work not the play calling.

Look at this last game. When the Hawks RAN the ball it was always against a stacked front with as many as 9 people in the box. That is going to fail almost EVERY time.

It's sad to say but right now Macdonald just doesn't look ready to be a HC. I am not calling for his head as i think he deserves at the very least 2 years but thats what it looks like to me right now. 100% sure our OC isn't ready.

I want to add in the defense because our defense is a mess and it starts with the bread and butter and thats your linebackers. We just have bodies there and thats it. Our Backend hasn't been much better. The front end isnt that bad and are 4th in the league in pressure rate but when you allow RB and WR to run free or give a 6 yard cushion on a 3rd and 2 bad shit happens. Bad shit and easy shit for the offenses to take advantage of.

We know they are learning a new scheme and it will take a while to get it down but in week 8 things should look better not progressively worse. We beat Denver to start the season and look at them now, 5-3 and winners of 5 of their last 6. They have looked better every week for the most part. We can not say the same.
