This is only reasonable if you are comfortable with multiple 4 or 5 win seasons.

Are the Vikings better off than the Colts? What about the Bucs?

What happens in year 4 if Richardson still hasn’t panned out? Start over? More 4 win seasons.
If your going to come up short either way isn't it better to do so with the younger cheaper option? Vikings have a top rookie option in their pocket. If Richardson doesn't pan out or does pan out, keep looking for opportunities at the QB position during drafts like the Packers have done over the years.

You want a list of teams that have been in a perpetual QB carousel? The Packers are the very rare exception.

The Jets, Raiders, Titans, Browns, Broncos, Giants, Bucs and Saints are counter examples.

If we are going to suck for a few years you might as well suck for manning. He will be the most hyped QB since manning.
But you will need the number 1 pick which probably means Macdonald is gone

And schneider with him. It sucks for MacDonald but its not his fault he landed in a terrible spot. If schneider isnt canned this year its gonna be another hopeless shit show and MacDonald will fall with him
If schneider is fired and MacDonald stays, the new GM will want his pick at coach.
He is in a tough spot and i dont think its his fault

Unless the team implodes I don't see JS getting fired this year or next.

None of those have follow the Packers method of investing in QBs. Like it or not the Seahawks are on that carousel now. Howell is next up then who knows. Seahawks choose the carousel thinking they could win investing top picks on other positions and making due at QB. Guess we'll see how that works out.

I've asked this of you in their past and you never really respond. What would have been the right course in retrospect? With full hindsight what could the Seahawks have done e to change the team around? Outside of tanking because no teams actually tank in the nfl

Yes I have responded but you continue to repeat the request and say I haven't answered it. The right course was to move up and get your QB, this is where you start listing how expensive it is and blah blah blah. Sitting on your thumbs hoping a QB falls in your lap by sheer chance is fruitless, no point in complaining about the risks and cost when you move up because that what is needed to have any reasonable hope of landing a franchise QB.

I'm sure this game was really exciting if you were anything other than a Seahawks fan.

At least I made money better against Seattle. Nothing more guaranteed than a Seahawks loss to a McVay lead Rams team.

Haven't watched him, so I have no idea, but he's on his third college team (not something I consider good) and physically doesn't impress (5'11 204) saw a ranking where is was ranked 9th QB in this draft. I'll have to check him out.
My guess is Uncle Phil backed up the brinks truck to lure him to Eugene but his numbers are still very good.

If he looks really bad this season, would the Seahawks feel forced to draft a QB in 2025? That's my fear, 2025 is not the year to look for your franchise QB.
A late round project QB? Sure I'm fine with that but Howell will be given the chance with offseason prep and first string snaps to get ready for the 2025 season unless we have another RW situation where the project QB absolutely blows everyone away in drills and preseason games.
