they won 9 games with a first year coach, does anyone really believe they arent going to run it back as best as they can? itll mostly be the same roster and coaches we have right now.
round 1 draft a LB.
round 2 draft a WR to replace lockett.
another 9-8 year to look forward to.
thats my prediction as it stands right now.

Maybe. No one of note behind the inside LBs and Jones going to a FA so adding a ILB makes sense if one of the few that are good prospects is still on the board. ILB pretty important for stopping the run. With Lockett looking like a cap causality and Metcalf may not be in the plan beyond 2025 and with WR being one of the few strong positions this draft could be drafting a WR is in the cards. Not that I think that's the best course but it does have some logic of sort. I do think it's possible for big change to happen, Grubb could be let go, JS could be let go, Geno could be let go, none of that would shock me. For me fixing the OL is by far the most important thing they should address, because if the OL sucks again next year then it's going to another tough season (QB would be #1 but this just doesn't look to be the year to address it). The DL is in better shape IMO then it's been for a long time, I know for some drafting a DL is always the very top of the list, but the Seahawks have bigger needs in a lot of positions. Think the Seahawks are near the top for QB pressure rate and the run defense while still inconsistent has take a step forward once they went with Jones and Knight and with the young players likely improving with a full year under McDonald I feel DL is down the list a bit for me.

why would they suddenly spend money on OL when their MO has been signing washed up guys for cheap and trading away good ones? its been an ongoing problem going on 15 years and the strategy has not changed.

They never really make splashes in FA regardless of position. Schneider certainly doesn't value interior lineman. But they certainly HAVE made commitments to the OL since JS got here. Okung, Carpenter, Ifedi, and Cross were all 1st round picks. Justin Britt was a 2nd round pick.

The problem is that they are just not good at drafting the right players.

thats what they should do, but i will be mildly surprised if that happens.

I think if someone offers them a 2nd they take it without blinking.

i dont think they will tear it down, clearly thats not what i predicted in my post. i think thats what they SHOULD do with the front office. i really dont think schneider sees what we see, i think he feels like they are in a good place and the OL is perfectly fine the way it is.

I highly doubt he finds the OL is perfectly fine. Maybe he thinks that Olu can improve next year. But RG has been a problem no matter who we put there and Tomlinson is a below average LG. In fact, the one move I would REALLY like to see Seattle make is going for an impact guard, be it Smith or Jenkins or even Zeitler.

absolutely they have to if they want to succeed. that means backing up the brinks truck for trey smith and drafting OL in round 1 or 2. do you really think thats what schneider will do though?

I will be absolutely SHOCKED if they don't do something notable with the interior line.

I would be pretty surprised if they make an early pick for a DL in this draft. They would have to absolutely love whoever they get.

We are probably going to be drafting around 20. I would think OL, WR, or Safety would be options. Maybe LB if Jones leaves.

Yup. Schneider has said in the past that he doesn't think interior linemen should be drafted early. IMO this season proved how wrong that thinking is. It remains to be seen whether he actually tries to address this flaw.
