Oh come on you cant do that! Yes Kam covered TE a lot but so did KJ Wright! Don't do Wright dirty he was a master at not giving up diddly himself to TE's.

KJ and Kam was basically Lawrence Taylor level hacks in Tecmo Super Bowl... We do not have anything close to that at the moment.

The running game is a joke, 99% of the time they run EVERYONE knows yep this is a run. They line up so different and ALWAYS run out of it. All you have to do is look at the defense, They see it also and always throw 9 men in the box. Only once did the Hawks lineup fool me on a run and that was Charbs big conversion run.

Geno threw the ball 31 times total. Thats the perfect number for him. They just need to stop tipping their hand so hard in the run game, you got to make it look like what you always do and thats pass. Then start passing more out of the run formations ( under center/PA Pass ) this is so BASIC! Grubb really cant be this thick headed.

HEY! The Rookie RG looked pretty good but it was the cards. Geno had all day back there often. yes he did get sacked but he also had all day to throw on a lot of drop backs when you take into account he only threw 31 attempts. Some of those sacks Geno just needs to be more aware on and get rid of the ball.

I have a nice smile on my face and not because we won, because how well our defense played. Really has been a very UP and DOWN year for the defense but when they play to their skill level and have trust in the players around them they just look different. They had a Attitude this game, A identity. A junk yard dog type, scrappy and gritty. I liked it.

I brought out everything today... I used up reverse jinx cards that were MVP level today... it was a heroic act, but I did it for you guys...

Jokes aside, the defense looked amazing and the run defense, wow what a transformation. Also seems like we're cleaning up penalties and the refs are actually catching when we're getting held. Sadly blood pressure pills saw a 10% hike in the last 2 weeks so now I'm out more money... dammit.

As said before, I don't want a patchwork job on this team especially on the OL, but I can't root for the team to lose. One draft pick generally doesn't solve the problem. And there is no QB IMO that is going to save any franchise in 2025.

Even though Geno got sacked 5 times the Oline showed moments of outstanding play. Some times Geno just needs to take off or throw the ball away and he just is a half second to late on his decisions most of the time. But in Football for a QB that half second is not good.

One of those sacks was where he ran out of bounds right at the line of scrimmage marker, just an inch or two short of it, so it counted as a sack but wasn't the bad kind of sack.

The issue is he dose not have ball safety in the red zone... when we are tied or winning something it ok to have a sack or throw the ball away.. instead he forced it again causing int.

Just two weeks ago, the Seahawks were sitting at 4-5, having lost five of their last six games. Mike Macdonald’s defense was imploding and the offensive line was struggling to keep quarterback Geno Smith upright. But after Sunday’s 16-6 win over the Cardinals in rainy Seattle, the Seahawks will go into Week 13 leading the division. And while the offense still isn’t doing Smith any favors, Macdonald’s defense has rounded into form just in time for the home stretch.

Sunday’s performance was the team’s best of the season. The Seahawks cooled off a red-hot Cardinals offense, holding Arizona without a touchdown for only the third time in the Kyler Murray era. Seattle’s run defense set the foundation for a successful day. The Cardinals came into the game ranked fifth in success rate and first in explosive run rate. Per TruMedia, Seattle held Arizona to a 14-percent success rate on the ground and gave up just one explosive run—a 14-yard gain for Emari Demarcado that failed to move the chains on third-and-18. This was a dominant showing against one of the league’s best run games.

Seattle’s defensive turnaround was sparked by Macdonald’s bold decision to blow up his linebacker corps mid-season. The first-year head coach traded one starting linebacker, Jerome Baker, and cut another one, Tyrel Dodson, around the trade deadline. Linebacker Ernest Jones IV came over from Tennessee in the deal for Baker and hasn’t missed a tackle in four games for Seattle. Fourth-round rookie Tyrice Knight took over for Dodson and has given Macdonald strong play against the run. Over the past four weeks, Seattle ranks in the top 10 in rushing average allowed, rushing EPA allowed, and rushing success rate, per TruMedia.

The success against the run has led to more obvious passing situations for Macdonald’s defense. That’s where he thrives as a play caller. He can get his unit into his exotic fronts and coverages, which are difficult for even the best quarterbacks to figure out, as Murray learned in his first matchup with the Seahawks’ defensive-minded head coach. The Cardinals QB averaged minus-0.92 EPA per dropback with a 27.3-percent success rate against Seattle on third and fourth down in the loss. A lot of passers have fallen victim to Macdonald’s mind-bending pass defense. If the Seahawks’ run defense, led by new linebackers and a healthier defensive line, can keep up their recent form, Murray won’t be the last quarterback to come up short against Seattle.

Mac getting some national respect. I have to say the turnaround on the defense is just remarkable. If this run defense can keep doing their job, this pass defense can make noise.

Well, that was potentially a turning point type win yesterday, at least in terms of opportunity to win the division. The offense is still maddening with all the fits & starts, but the defense really seems to be rounding into form. Leonard Williams has been dominant, and it appears Ernest Jones is quite an upgrade in the middle. JSN with his 3rd straight very strong game.

With Rams and Niners both losing yesterday, there is an opportunity to grab hold of things these next 2 games.

The thing I'm most excited about is how much better the defense has played the last 2 weeks. Macdonald looks like a genius, right now, getting rid of Baker and Dodson. I realize that you could counter that he was the one that brought them in but I think there are a LOT of coaches that would be unwilling to pivot off vets like that. Trading for Jones and then giving a rookie the starting Mike spot is a big balls move.

Also, Jobe has been just amazing so far. Is there a secondary playing better than this group right now?
