Scott Skiles must really hate Tobias Harris. That's twice his team has traded him.

If the Heat get Horford and Teague that would make them significantly better IMO. Apparently, Houston wants more than Whiteside and Dragic, they want a 1st round pick. Both those players are better for the offense they are running than Dragic. Whiteside is a guy based off potential and has a high one, but you can't sit around and wait for him to blossom when he is doing dumbass shit. Teague is 27 and Horford is 29, still pretty young. Whiteside is 26 and Dragic is 29. So as far as age, it is pretty even and right now Horford and Teague are better.

Teague is averaging 15ppg almost 6 apg. Shooting 40% from 3 and 85% from ft line.
Horford is averaging 15ppg and 7 rpg. Shooting 55% from 2 and 78% from ft line.

Is Harris plAying the 4?

I thought he was a sf.

Yeah Orlando was trying to do the small ball stuff and had him starting at the 4 with Fournier at the 3.

He is kind of a classic tween player. Too big to properly handle talented wings and too small to handle bruising PF's. Not a good defensive player but is OK offensively. In today's NBA though that is going to make him a PF for the most part. But not even close to being worth the $16M per year contract he is playing under.

It is just astounding to me that the Pistons would let Greg Monroe walk and trade for this guy to replace him at pretty much the exact same cost. I know Monroe and Drummond don't space as much as you would ideally want...but it is not like Harris is a true floor spacer either with that career 31% 3 point shooting.

There is zero chance of the Heat getting Horford and Teague for Dragic and Whiteside. That is just an NBA beat writer with too much time on his hands playing around with ESPN's trade machine and nothing more.

There is NO CHANCE IN HELL that Morey would accept that Dragic contract and have his hands tied moving forward. This is the same GM that let Chandler Parsons walk away at 3 year $15M per rather than be tied down. No way he is taking back an old, below average PG back who has 4 years $18M per left on his deal.

Dragic is not a top 10 PG and he was paid huge freaking money-- and PG is the deepest position in the league by far--- not only that- but giving up multiple, largely unprotected 1st rounders so far into the future while having a veteran team can be extremely dangerous. Especially since the fit with Wade and Whiteside was never good with Dragic.....a big like Amare 5 years ago- a great pick and roll big that can finish at hte rim or pick and pop is who you pair with dragic.....not a conventional center that cant shoot and a shooting guard that needs the ball in his hands.

Dragic isn't even a top 20 PG. That is just how deep the position is. And what is worse is that he is playing under a contract that pays him like a top 5 PG right now. Then add into the fact that he turns 30 in a couple of months and his current deal runs until he is 35 and that is just an absurd deal that any smart GM isn't going to take on in a trade unless Miami is throwing back major cheap rookie assets like early draft picks and Winslow.

If you make a list of worst contracts in the league right now, Dragic deal would be a top 10 one.

The NBA beat reporters who make up these rumors (and the VAST majority of NBA rumors are just writers making crap up) haven't been keyed into the fact just how much negative value Dragic is in a trade. Miami literally likely couldn't give Dragic away for nothing (although who knows....there are a lot of idiot GM's out there). They would have to throw in assets just to get a team to take him and his contract on.

I think the Warriors need another big.

Warriors don't have anyone to really offer for Anderson. They won't give up anyone in the immediate rotation for a likely half season rental. Frye makes the most sense because Orlando would want to dump him. Pelicans view Anderson as an asset and will seek a fair trade.

Although time is dwindling down. They may end up with 10 cents return on the dollar.

Horford and Teague would be a good add for the Heat for sure, could make them contenders in the East for sure.

Fire sale?

Maybe they know they will have to pony up this Summer when he opts out?

He could really help the Heat.

Yeah sounds similar to when the Lakers traded him. Keeping him doesn't seem likely so trying to get something for him.

Edit: Nevermind... he signed with the Bulls as a FA. The Lakers were trying to trade him that season, though, right? Or am I just way off?

His name was in trade talks for several years.

That's why his feelings were hurt.
