I would absolutely ok giving up any prospect we've got to get Vlad, if only for the fact it means that they actually fucking care to try to make a run.

Top 5 for sure. He still has next year under contract so you get him for another year or trade him at next years deadline and recoup. I think it is well worth it. We don't have a 1B right now.

The losing lots of control sucks but that deal sets up this season great. Hancock and Vlad is better than the platoon at first base and betting on Woo to go out and pitch 5 innings

Bichette is on the IL. I thought there was some kind of rule against trading a player on the IL? Also, JP is our SS. Bichette is still young in his career. I doubt if he would be willing to move over to 2nd or 3rd base, but asking JP to move would create some bad mojo.
