So how does everybody feel about giving up a large amount of prospects for Vlad Jr?
Two weeks ago, yes depending on the players. Today, no. I can handle a trade for a guy with at least 2 years control after this year, but anything less, I will pass on.

Wondering instead of Kopech in a Robert trade they could get DeJong in the deal.

Not a fan, but something is better than what we have.

Fair, but they need a SS and he has been better than JP so wouldn’t have to rush him back.

What do you mean!!! We have Dylan 'Freakin' Moore!

My only hesitation on DeJong was his down years:

2021: .197
2022: .157
2023: .207

I’m not saying he is a fix or anything, but even his down years are better than what they have and defensively he is better than what they have. I just dread the thought of Dylan Moore being an everyday player. His high’s are high, but his low’s are so bad it doesn’t matter if they get two other bats.

Mr. Uppercut. I like the guy, but as a reserve.

Yes, IMO he is a guy who should get one start a week but play in every game. He can pinch run for or defensively replace nearly every position. He’s definitely valuable but him being an everyday starter or a big part of a platoon isn’t the best use of his skills.

Undoubtedly the Mariners are better now after the 3 trades they've made in the past day. Just don't think it moves the needle enough.

Agree completely made a step forward, but we are far from a legitimate postseason baseball club

The good news is after yesterday’s offensive breakout

I think canning Ty France lit a fire under some players ass, and they realize that their job security is on the line as well if they do not perform. And That’s the way it should be.

Giving up Clase forever in return for 55 games of Garcia before he walks - yeah that is a tough pill to swallow. Garcia is going to have to produce at a pretty high level to make this trade work. But, our bullpen really needs help and Stanek was killing me. It got to the point that every time he came out of the pen I was having Jose Mesa flashbacks. He would have been addition by subtraction even if we had not gotten Garcia. It really sucks because Stanek had just come off of a fairly effective 3-year stint with the Astros. There was no reason to believe he would not work out for the Mariners. But he was never intended to be in the high-stakes portions of games he was forced into with the injuries to Brash and Santos. Can't blame Dipoto for this one.

I'd like to see what he would produce as a fulltime player in an extreme hitter's park like Colorado or Toronto or Arizona or Philadelphia. I guess something like:
30 homers, 30 steals, .220 BA, 200 strikeouts.
