Terrible day for the defense and yet they sneak out of Carolina with a much needed W.

This reminded me of the "bend but don't break" defense in the mid 2000's. Give up a ton of yards but keep stopping them when it matters most. However they did it today I'll take it. That is one massive, good looking, "W" for the Hawks on the road.

Hawks put up 30 today though.

I considered last 2 games a must win and they did their thing. 4 of next 5 games are at home with tough games against Minny and KC.

Hawks pretty much control their own destiny at this point.

Believe it or not the Hawks could end up in the top 10 Scoring offenses in the NFL after this game :O

Shocking, but man i know our Defense is really young and growing pains will no doubt happen because of how young they are but GAH!

Gave the Panthers their first loss at home of the season, that also feels so good :P

True. But we've done alright scoring this season too. Averaging 25 points a game is pretty decent.

I think that was their first home loss in 10 games. I love it. Some teams I just love beating more than others. The Cam Newton Panthers is one of those teams.

did the panthers get a LOT of lucky bounces though. was it 3 or 4 fumbles and they recovered all of them?

Not sure why were not adjusting on that, I"m surprised Norton is allowing that all game long... We gotta make an adjustment there...

It's been a season long issue. I don't know why our defense has a hole in it where the RBs are concerned, but it does.

KJ and Kam, those guys would be there on plays to stop runs and do not get the love they should for how good they were/are at stopping it. But the Front the Hawks put out there needs to be a little better but they will learn our DT are young for the most part.

they tend to have trouble with miss direction and counter plays. the younger guys are biting to hard on them.

Not stopping the run is frustrating, but understandable. If stopping the run was easy - everyone would do it. I'm more concerned with the swing passes that seem to not have anyone assigned to them in our zone coverage. There just doesn't ever seem to be anyone near the RB.

Lots of zone coverages, guys just aren’t jumping those routes quick enough when they see him... Run zone and man lock the RB, you can’t just let them short pass you to death ...

Damn good game. The Panthers were desperate to win and we withstood their best shot.
Another great job by Pete to have the team ready for a 10 am road game.
This is a resilient team. Our run game was held in check for the most part and the pass game had to win it for us.

Yep the hawks Stole one but they put themselves in position to steal it. Now had some of those Fumbles not all bounced back into the Panthers hands oof.

Good game film to go over, that's how you clean that stuff up, hit the film room... You're either learning or you're not trying ...
