Use some of that black magic on the other AL West clubs.

 if I could I would if we were in the hunt. Something just happened to Skaggs for the Angels and they are taking him out.

I'd be awfully hesitant about putting any eggs in the basket known as JPA.

This current streak JPA is about the norm with him, he will have a good little power run for a couple weeks and then he turns into the JPA we saw in the first half. He will descend back into those 1 for 22 streaks all too soon

Wow I can't believe the A's traded Cespy for Lester. Thats good news to us. No way they resign Lester. I really don't get it... they were already near the top in the MLB in pitching. Losing him is going to hurt on offense even id his average was down. I guess they got Gomes too but... wow seems like they traded a key playoff piece.

I'm glad they did.... Like I said earlier, we don't have to face Cespedes 20 games a year anymore. :yahoo:

A's are in win now mode and are trying to match Detroit's rotation. Gomes really doesn't match cespy's talent which means they lose offense and I think the A's starters are questionable beyond Lester especially since the lack much playoff experience. Kazmir has followed up a good year with another one but I don't like Hammel to much and Smarz is still raw and likely won't be there long. I think Detroit is probably still the favorite in the AL, though we will see who gets hot come playoff time

For sure, they have to be. Not only do they have the reigning triple crown winner, they have a rotation led by the last 3 CY award winners. That's pretty nuts if you ask me. Doesn't even seem like they gave up too much either. Nothing against Austin Jackson or anything.

It's funny we have a David Price at our work and during our meeting today, our boss called him up and said I just heard today that David is leaving us. I didn't know he played baseball but David is leaving us for the Tigers.

Seems the Tigers gave up a 18 year old ss as well, which who knows if he will ever pan out. I do love Miggy and sure hope the Tigers can beat the A's in the playoffs. BB will still have a better offseason than JD so we will still be trying to claw our way back up in the AL West the next few years

Young middle infielders are so hard to predict man. I bet they're kicking themselves cuz they definitely had better offers before they let it get to the wire.

I have a friend who has inside sources for the warriors and a's said to
Me that they were going to trade cespedes this offseason and there is a good chance he's on PEDs FWIW.

I bet Moss and Donaldson are. Damn no-namers came out of nowhere and started hitting 30+ HRs a season.

Maybe A's scouts did a good job. PED's are not always the reason players hit HR's. Beltre, Mantle, Mays, etc were all no names once.

I guess, as a Ranger's fan, I should be glad that Jon didn't make any bad trades, but somehow, I feel he really mucked this season up. :(
