Good move for the warriors just cause they are missing that distributer off the bench

Ws finally found a suitable back up PG. They really have no more excuses to not be a contender, at least not roster wise.

That Sacramento deal would have been stupid for Boston. It fell through because it was all just a rumor to begin with.

Awfully quiet here in Boston. I hope they move Humphries for trade exception and a pick. Cant see why they would keep him.

GSW deal is good for both Lakers and them. Lakers look to shed salary

Blake averaging 10 and 8 not bad. How's his defense?

Mark Jackson will love Steve Blake and make good use of him. He's a good distributor, can hit shots and doesn't back down. He's not real fast, so he has a little trouble staying in front of elite PG's, but the dude is tough as nails and gives 100% every night.

Blake will be a great addition coming off the bench like Jack last season. Never understood the hate leveled on him by some Lakers fans. Tough competitor. Solid pro.

The Lakers get a little closer to the luxury tax threshold and get the rest of the season to see what Bazemore and Brooks are made off. Bazemore has potential. Not sure what happened to Brooks after a promising rookie season.

Earl Clark was part of that trade as well. Hawes gives them some front court depth as they push for a playoff spot. His contract is expiring. Seems like a good trade for them.

If we avoid the tax without having to trade Pau, this is what our roster could look like in a little over a year:

PG) Dante Exum
SG) Kobe
PF) Love
C) Pau

This = Contender!

The Lakers can save even more money and acquire something by trading Pau as well. Fire sell this team for whatever assets you can get.

Big trade for the Heat. Mason shipped off to Sacramento for a protected 2nd rounder. Money saver? Opening a roster spot for another move?

If Lakers don't get a good 1st Round for Pau (and I doubt they will) it makes more sense to keep him. He can naturally play the Center. Having 2 versatile big men on the floor like Love and Pau, along with Kobe and the #1 PG in the draft would be matchup nightmares.

However, I agree if they can get a 1st Rounder - then jump.

my issue wasn't with HIM per se, but his contract...

but you guys are right as far as his competitive spirit...

I don't think $4 million/season is excessive for his caliber of play. I certainly wouldn't pay him more than that for his next contract. He said he would resign this summer with the Lakers if they are interested.
