EXACTLY. Kevin Love is totally worth it. I think they should do it... but Kobe scares me. He has had issues with other superstars in the past. If he can defer to Klove.. be the #2.. Lakers sign a couple of pieces free agency.. they can be a solid team. i still wouldnt put them in WCF with Love and Kobe. Kobe still is taking to much money.. not worth that amount at this point in his career. that contract will be a noose around the Lakers neck. luckily it is short term.

Agree with much of this. The only issues Kobe has had with other superstars were with Shaq and Dwight. With Shaq, it was as much a problem with Shaq as it was with Kobe. Kobe was coming in to his own as the best player in the game and Shaq wasn't ready to "hand over the keys".

They both could have handled it better. Kobe should have been more respectful of Shaq's stature in the NBA (like Magic did with Kareem) and Shaq should have realized that Kobe was becoming the best player in the league and willingly taken a step back (like Kareem did for Magic).

With Dwight, that was pretty much all Dwight. Dwight has zero rings and thought he could just walk on to the team and tell a guy with 5 rings, how to win a ring.

I think Kobe is older and wiser and Love doesn't seem to have a huge ego. I doubt they'd have too much trouble finding a happy medium. Plus, I think Love is smart enough to know that he only has to put up with Kobe for a couple of seasons and then the Lakers would be "his team".

As for Kobe and Love getting the Lakers to the WCF. I think it would depend on what other pieces they could get to put around them. I think they'd definitely be darn close.

I'm surprised we haven't heard any rumors about Thad Young, Spencer Hawes & Evan Turner from Philly. The Sixers like to keep things close to the vest, but by now I would have thought something would be close on at least one of them.

Marcus Thornton to Brooklyn for Terry and Evans

With all of the rumors flying around this is the only trade that looks like it will get done so far.

Does anybody know of any other "confirmed" trades?

No other confirmed trades but if I had to bet money on it, I will say that the Knicks will get rid of Felton.

I saw some rumors earlier that the Pelicans are attempting to get rid of Rivers

Another guy that almost seems like a lock to be on the move is Gary Neal as several teams are trying to acquire him

I just saw Barnes for jack. First thing I said was Hell No! Then it was confirmed that it wasn't a real report.

Fatty Felton is a hard sell. Under contract next year at almost 3.8mil. Plus player option for the 2015-16 at almost 4mil.

Blake averaging 10 and 8 not bad. How's his defense?
Can't keep up with the starting PG's of the league, but he'll be just fine playing against rotation players. We are in super sell mode right now. Jordan Hill(for sure) and Chris Kaman(possibly) is next.

That was bullshit... I just dropped Marshall for Blake on my fantasy team...

Anyways, I would have liked the Lakers looked into moving Pau and Blake to the Wizards for Ariza and Nene... I think that would have been good for both teams...:noidea:
