Once we lost a year of development due to Covid, I was glad we didn't sign him too.

The pursuit of him was one of JD's most embarrassing moments though. Him and Boras just don't mix. Boras must have been very put out with both the Rendon and Gallo negotiations. Boras just doesn't play that game.

The good to very good will not sign the 2 or 3 year contracts that JD and the Rangers want so unless we go with a 5 to 7 year contract we will see not much more than average to below average

I son't mind waiting if the same quantity of quality is still there in later years. If, as I have read, this year's class is superior to other years then we may have to strike while it is there. As long as we are going to get quality in 2023, 24, 25 and 26.

I don't mind getting them a year early if we have too. It is not like we are spending too much if we do pay them a year early. We aren't spending on much of anything in 2022 as it is.
