Then wouldn’t you do a 3 way deal with KC where Seattle still ends up with Smith, Toro and Merrfield and KC gets better prospects from both Seattle and Houston? Unless there is a 3 team deal on the table with KC and the A’s and Oakland didn’t want to help Houston it just doesn’t add up.One writer I just messaged with said he speculates maybe KC wants Moore in a Whitfield deal and Toro replaces Moore on the roster. Makes sense.
re-sign him.....he has been..the most steady ..guy...
and why to houston.......??..they would never trade with the mariners ...before
My only concern with that is once you include the Astros you risk them just jumping you and getting Merrifield without you. And why do I keep writing Whittfield? Combining his names together for some dumb reason. Then wouldn’t you do a 3 way deal with KC where Seattle still ends up with Smith, Toro and Merrfield and KC gets better prospects from both Seattle and Houston? It is a really dumb ass name. It’s like one of those where if he isn’t on your team you just hate him because his name is stupid…but if he is on your team it is colorful. My only concern with that is once you include the Astros you risk them just jumping you and getting Merrifield without you. Ya but I still hate getting guys for 2 months. If they could extend him, it would make me a bit happier but the price was right. No complaints on this one. This is a massive low risk and possible mediocre reward. Unlike the other one which is high risk and mediocre reward.
Sure rentals suck, but isn’t like they gave up David Ortiz or anything. Maybe Smith and Anderson combined semi equal Graveman, then getting Toro for Montero is legit…but I just have this gut feeling that Graveman and Montero being dealt has nothing to with on field issues, otherwise it literally makes no sense that I can think. You know me, I try to look at positives but like the Marco/O’Neill deal I will gladly die on a hill when I feel it is wrong or doesn’t make sense on the surface such as Dipoto pulling an ego trade with Marco for Tyler.Ya but I still hate getting guys for 2 months. Not sure but I think Bins may have been higher rated than David Arias was with us at the time of their trades.Well you got me point. He was a dude they could’ve randomly given up upon instead of letting his personal life play out.
