Just got through some post-4th round analysis articles of that fiasco with selecting the TE Hopkins over any a number of better players. That was a complete dumbshit move by a collective bunch of douchebags who think the O-lineman they now have on the roster are better than some AVAILABLE PLAYERS IN THIS DRAFT OF WHICH THEY HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH CHANCES TO SELECT AND IMMEDIATELY IMPROVE ONE OF THE MANY GLARING WEAKNESSES CALLED THE O-LINE of the LA RAMS!!! Seriously!! McSnead and company have no one holding them accountable for such bullshit. Demoff can't produce a decent logo in two years. The limp biscuit is busy getting dominated by his dominatrix wife and of course she is spanking him for not picking his next pair of panties from Victoria's Secret to notice and stop this kind of utter incompetence! Seriously!! They pick a TE that is small and should be trained as a fullback whiffing on the remaining good O-line talent left. I want bitch-slap both of the two stooges who comprise the juggernaut of dumbass known as McSnead!!!

I don’t think Dye is a starter immediately. If that was the case then someone would have drafted the guy before the mid-4th round. I get he adds depth at ILB but it doesn’t shatter our hopes of being good next year

And the TE they took is?

With Higbee, Everett and Mundt, he will play about as much as Henderson did this past season behind Gurley and Brown.

With the Rams lack of LB depth and the injuries they’ve had, Dye would’ve seen more action than the TE will.

To be fair, he’s not small. He’s Everett size and speed basically.

But, to not take Dye or Biadasz was stupid.

Have they not been watching what the rest of the division is doing? Loading up on pass rushers and OL. They are going to kill the Rams.

Rams will go from NFC champs to NFCW chumps in 2 years.

That OL is not going to hold up all season, and that’s assuming they even improve with no OTA’s. Methuselah certainly isn’t going to get better. He’s going to continue to get worse.

I’m certainly not overly upset about. I’ll judge it on overall body of work and trust the process. The FO has been fine at getting UDFA and will find some ILBs not to mention we have some pretty good young ones now on the roster.
We did finish 9-7 on a tough schedule with Gurley not electrifying, Goff not very good at all and Cooks didn’t even play. We lost Littleton who was a UDFA not Ray Lewis

And why was the offense worse, SJ?

Because the OL was dog crap. Period. And they’ve done nothing to address and improve the OL. That is the problem.

To be fair, save the Tackles, it was a new group of Starters, young and then injured, and then depth injured again.

No continuity for McVay's complicated schemes.

With an injury bug that deep, and TGIII a shell of himself, Cooks out for an extended time, I'm like SJ...

I will trust the process, and hope those holes & injuries will be behind them with another year of experience under their collective belts.

Another pick goes by and it’s another safety. Well, hope Goff doesn’t get concussed this year.

FWIW, nobody wants to put good money behind bad, but with all that happened last season, I'm not ready to say we MUST reinvest in the OL now. I would have loved to see the OL fortified with a couple of Studs but were those guys gonna really be better than what we have? I'll trust the process and give it another year.

And when you think about it, McSnead needed to address our departures...
  1. The TGIII departure, so they draft Cam with their first pick. (That's a huge hole!)
  2. The Cooks departure, so they draft Van. (Another huge hole!)
  3. The Matthews departure, so they draft Lewis.
  4. The Roby-Coleman departure, so they draft Burgess.
  5. The expected departure of Mundt, he's on a 1 year minimum deal, he is likely gone next, so they draft Brycen. (A kid they like, but may need a year to be that 3rd TE, but it gives them an option to cut Mundt too).
Boys, Red we are now in Round 6, I mean it's the 6th round, right? But still they look at Safety since it's Johnson's last year in his contract, and we may need to move on, so they draft Fuller.

IDK, pretty good draft addressing departure of this and next year. And I'm not even mad about the TE pick, just maybe the player. I really like the kid from Stanford that went to the Hags a couple of picks after we picked Brycen, but SJ likes him so maybe there is something McSnead knows that's not so obvious.
