From my assessment of last nights game I think the hawk were purely out coached and the Rams had a much better scheme. Looking at the game they weren't doing anything spectacular. Mathew Stafford was just throwing the ball 6-12 yards at a time to a player who was sitting open based on our zone defense then get a few more yards on YAC for a 1st down. It wasn't like Nacua was randy mossing our DBs.

But the game is what the game is all you can do is go over film and prepare for the lions this week. The concerning thing to me and this is what I said last season going into this season. I felt the 1st half of the season Geno was catching people off guard because everyone thought he was a below average back up at best and preparing for him wasn't a tall task. I felt after the Raiders game last season teams were really prepared and took him serious and of a result the offense struggled.

Going into this game the Rams were extremely prepared on playing the offense which is why they were only on the field for 20 minutes the entire game. This is what I believe and this is what separates the greats from the goods. Geno is a good QB that if you put him in a system that works with good coaching there is a success. If you put him in a bad situation he will be a bust and after last night it shows when the gameplan isn't working you can't expect him to do a Patrick Mahomes or a Seahawks Russell Wilson and do a Hudini trick for a big play to extend drives.

Every part of this thing stunk like a landfill site. That might be the worst performance we've seen in the Pete Carrol era. I just said fuck it with about 10 minutes left and put a movie on. Geno stunk. The defense stunk. The coaching stunk. Hell, our run defense was better than our pass defense. What does that say? And to add salt to the wound, we had players going down like flies. There isn't really even a silver lining here, imo. This was a game the team absolutely needed to make a statement and they got completely curb stomped by a bunch of rookies. I can usually say, well it's one game and move on but this team played worse than the Cardinals. Texans and Colts, who are the supposed frontrunners, or whatever you want to call it, for the first overall pick. Totally took the Rams for granted.

Also for everyone losing a game week 1 is not a green light to go in full panic mode and being upset. I know its frustrating in that no matter what the situation is the Rams always play us tough and today they ruined our opening day.

However some life proverbial phrases of the glass half full/empty in that sometimes it takes an embarrassing loss to wake yourself up and start self-accountability. This team was riding the wave of winning games without RW and being an under dog and being one of the best stories in the NFL for 2022. In a way I am glad that this happened I know for sure our players are upset and embarrassed and they will collectively make changes with the coaching staff.

Nov 25th 2012 it was a frustrating loss to the Miami Dolphins whom were a terrible team at the time that sparked the team into a 5 game winning streak to finish the season. Which was the birth of that great Seattle team in my opinion.

A pretty terrible performance all around. Bobby and Ken Walker were probably the only players that played well. Actually the OL played well until Lucas and Cross went down and then they fell apart.

Also, some really stupid penalties to ensure our defeat.

A failure across the board and this team needs to turn things dramatically or we are going to have an atrocious year.

A Metcalf unsportsmanlike penalty each game is pretty much expected by me during every game at this point. He can't help himself. Million dollar hands and a ten cent head.

The defensive schemes have me feeling no hope, it’s just not working … And I feel like Pete’s gonna pound that dead horse to prove it can work, prepare for a long season unless major changes are made scheme wise …

Our pass rush has been bad for years. Basically since Clowney got hurt and we let him walk.

Honestly I dont think the defense played that bad the rams ran the ball 37x for 81 yards dropping back 38x for 333 yards with no TDs is pretty good considering you don't turn the ball over but the hawks offense moved the ball for a total of 180 yards and was on the field for 20 minutes. I feel the offense needs more work

The defense allowed the Rams convert 11 of 16 3rd downs including 5 of 5 on the opening drive.

It's the same problem we have had for years. Defense stays on the field for forever. Offense starts off well but fizzles in the 2nd half as they can't sustain anything.

I mean it was OKAY the first half, but just that. We left points out there, should've had a 13+ lead going into the second half.... this is the Rams we're talkin' about, not the 49ers (which I imagine is going to look like that Dallas game when we play them... or like the Dallas game itself).. the offense moved okay, the defense allowed a 9 minute drive, but made some stops.

The 2nd half it's like the team just quit. I really don't know what to say. The defense completely collapsed and allowed score after score while staying on the field forever... the offense just completely mailed it in and did nothing.

Seattle's O went 3 and out on every second half possession (4 of them lol) and the Rams scored on every possession (5 of them).

I really don't know what else to say... the whole team just quit. There was guys over there on the sideline chuckling or laughing at the end of the game... dunno what it was. Everyone just gave up.

About the only player(s) I can give a pass to is Walker (but he couldn't do much once we got down) and Dickson. That's about it... lol. Even Myers missed an easy one with a doink. 39 yarder? C'mon man.

Both played bad, but defensively we made the Rams look like world beaters … We couldn’t get off the field on 3rd down, we left receivers WIDE open over and over, we had zero pass rush… It was terrible …

True, but also no excuse for 4 straight 3 and outs against the Rams. Okay Lockett down, both the tackles went down... we're not against the 49ers here... we should've been able to get ONE first down for Fs sake. I mean it was just a disaster all around.

Dickson and Walker. About the only two I can't point a finger at.

Oh the offense has to shoulder a big load on this loss And Geno was most of it also. The Defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd downs! they did a good job slowing them down but 3rd down was the issue. They couldn't stop anyone on 3rd down and couldn't convert on 3rd down. What did the Hawks have, one 3rd down conversion the WHOLE second half?

I see to many people giving Geno a Pass but had Wilson still been here and played like Geno did yesterday OMG! People would be screaming "Trade him for a box of Donuts!" I hate watching players that look like they would rather still be in bed than playing football and thats what Geno looked like out there.

No real 3rd down conversions... we had one first down in the 2nd half, courtesy of a penalty (5 yard pass interference).

It was technically 4 3 and outs in the 2nd half... and then the final drive we ran a play for 9 yards and that was it.

We saw lots of games like this with Russ as the QB. Everyone was complaining about Russ back then. Now we have a different QB and we get the same result.

I honestly question some of the playcalling, and I generally don't like doing that. In particular, we had a 3rd and mid in the 2nd half. Rather than going for the first and building momentum, we threw it deep to a completely covered Metcalf. Of course he didn't have a chance and we punted. I also don't understand why we didn't run it more with Walker but maybe they didn't want to push him too hard as he was a little banged up earlier in the week.

So Geno's play yesterday was literally mid.

Really hurts to see that, its demoralizing. Even if carter doesnt become elite, not taking a chance on him when he filled a hole this team has had for many years is sickening.
Taking a CB, just fuck my shit up

Made absolutely no sense.

There was really nothing good about this game, the offense and defense and coaching and adjustments were all absolute dogshit.
