Remove Lenny Wilkins

Add Allen Iverson

Yeah, Wilkins has his Coaching accolades, who needs the playing career? Just kidding. I've never seen him play and haven't looked at his stats or articles on his playing career. I just felt he must have been ok to good and a good to great coach, pushing him in there in 1996.

Eh...Allen Iverson racked up stats in a watered down East. A ball centric player not known for defense or high shooting percentage.

Can you imagine an Iverson with as much team spirit as ego?

ANY team spirit for that matter.

If there was an HOF for head cases...

Joe Barry Carroll > Bill Russell
Cherokee Parks > Bill Russell
Billy Paultz > Bill Russell
Kwame > Bill Russell

It's apparent that you aren't old enough to have seen Russell play.
He could do two things that Wilt Chamberlain could never do.
1. Dribble a basketball
2. Shoot a basketball from beyond 3 feet and make it.

Wilt Chamberlain was a great basketball player and it's always been argued as to who was better.....
him or Russell. To totally exclude Bill Russell from any list of great NBA players is total ignorance of the game.

OR is the drivel of a Lakers fan.

The other 5 hall of famers on those teams > Bill Russell

The dude was never the best player on his own team yet alone the league.

People bash Lebron for teaming up with (freaking Chris Bosh???) as some unfair loaded team
of immortals when he wins to devalue his ability.

Yet people worship the most over-rated player in the history of the NBA who played with an entire team of HOF players when he wins to over-value his ability.

Bill Russell had a worse career FG% than Dennis Rodman. Check Wilt's. You seriously want to compare those two basketball players? ha!

Bill Russell wasn't even the best player on his team but somehow he's top 50 all-time.

Ludicrous.

And yet Wilt was still 100 times the player Russell was and he dominated him head-to-head. Russell for a big man was mediocre (and I am being kind). And FG pct was piss poor.

He was a top 500 player...maybe :laugh3:

The fact is that Bill Russell couldn't make a single NBA roster today.

No thread mentioning Allen Iverson is complete without this (FYI, he says it 24 1/2 times):

So how come Russell's Celtics beat Chamberlaiin's Lakers such a large majority of the time.

NO WAY was it entirely a matter of the teammates!

RUSSELL UNDERSTOOD THE GAME BETTER THAN THE STILT DID!

RUSSELL>>>>>>>CHAMBERLAIN.

The only time you can use one teams performance against another team as the sole evidence that a particular member of that team is better than a particular member of the other team... is when they're playing 1-on-1.

And even back then, I'm pretty sure it was still 5-on-5.

Duncan
Kobe
Nash
Reggie

Should all be on there, imo. Lebron will be, just give him a couple more years.
