It's just his 2nd year in the NBA. He's still just 21 years old.

Is he a Top 5 player in all of the NBA already? If you vote No, list who you have ahead of him.

I say yes. You've got Lebron, Giannis, and Kawhi imo. Then a healthy KD (I'm assuming he can get back). But then I think you can slot Luka in a 5. That's over guys like Harden, Davis, Curry, etc. Look at this Clippers series. You've got Kawhi Leonard, a top 5 player, best 2 way player and amazing defender along with Paul George who is no slouch himself on defense and Luka is getting whatever the hell he wants. The only players that can do that are superstars like Lebron, Giannis, etc. Luka is already there.

Bit of recency bias here after that shot LOL

He is not a good defender, that matters

LeBron, Kawhi, AD, Giannis for sure. KD probably.

I'd take Luka after those 4 (maybe 5 if the injury isn't too bad for his career)

Curry maybe too (but not much longer). In a couple years only Kawhi, AD, and Giannis will be comparable.

Forgot about KD. That knocks Curry off my list.

Can't really rate KD until we see how far he can come back. He'll be 32 next season and coming off the worst injury a basketball player can have. I won't rate Curry either because he barely played.

Giannis
Kawhi
LeBron
Harden
Luka

Luka's not too bad on defense, though. He's strong. Gets a lot of rebounds. He didn't do badly today, but maybe it's because Paul George struggled again.

No, Lebron, AD, Kawhi, KD, Giannis, Curry

It's nice to see KD and Curry getting love here, but what can we really say about a couple players who will be 32 next NBA season and who either didn't play or barely played this season?

It's not really LOL anymore though. Today, given age and potential, do you take Luka or Curry? Luka or KD?

I think in 2 years he's top 5 easy. Maybe 1 more year.

Until I see different, I'm going assume they are still great.

If I'm building, I take Luka. If I'm winning now, I take Steph or KD.

I agree, if he stays healthy, Luka is definitely top 5 within 2 years max.

Harden over AD?

Harden's impact is elite. I don't how much stock you put into the advanced stats like BPM and VORP, but Harden is always at the top or near the top. I should probably put AD in over Luka. I think Luka will only get better, though.

AD's impact isn't elite?

Harden over AD?

And it's easy to see why Harden is at the top or near the top in BPM and VORP. His game is perfect for the modern NBA. High accuracy and high volume on 3's. Creates his own 3 point shots even better than Curry. FT's increases his efficiency even more. He's a great passer who finds his teammates for great looks when the defense collapses on him.

And defensively, he's greatly improved from earlier his career. He's very strong, so front court players don't have an easy time backing him down even when he has to switch on them. And he gets a good number of steals.

And Harden is a 1 who brings the ball up the court and runs your whole offense. I don't think we can say that about Davis.
