How can David Robinson be above Hakeem when Hakeem used to kick his ass all the time.

Also, I never thought I would say this about any list, but ... Kobe is probably a little too low.

Few quick thoughts:

David Robinson ranked over Hakeem is just LOL bad. I get a Duncan over Hakeem argument, but no way in hell Robinson (and Robinson was a beast of a center).

Steph is too high. There's no way he should be over Kobe and Olajuwon for sure. Steph right now should be probably top 25ish, but definitely towards the bottom end of that.

Dirk, Barkley, Malone and Garnett are all really tough to rank. At first I was like NO WAY Garnett and Dirk should be ranked ahead of Malone and Barkley but then I thought about it a bit deeper. Each had a different strength than the other. Dirk was the most explosive scorer. Barkley was the best rebounder. Malone the most consistent. Garnett the best defender. I'd probably go with Malone being the best of the bunch as the most well rounded, but I don't see a problem ranking those 4 in any real order.

Manu Ginobili at 37? WTF.

Isiah Thomas at 47 is also super disrespectful.

I started getting into some of the other discrepancies, and then I just realized they're just all over the place.

There's so many, I'm not sure what the point is...

But Isiah Thomas lower than Pau Gasol? :pound:

I feel like whoever made this list should never be allowed to watch basketball again.

The disrespect to Kobe is treasonous. B/R staff should be sent to the gallows. There is no way Curry is over him right now

Eh.

I don’t have Big O in my top 10 either. Who are you bumping to include him?

He is probably 15-20 for me. His triple double season was the year all the greats posted video game numbers. Pace was stupid fast and level of competition just was not all that compared to the modern era.

Hakeem and Kobe are both top 10 guys all time. Also Isiah Thomas is 20-25 spots to low.

Isiah has always been disrespected. The dream team being a notable snub. Chris mullin or Isiah? I mean come on.

I think it would have been Stockton off the team over Mullin imo.

Mullin was coming off 4 straight all star appearances, where he averaged over 25 a game each year. And on top of that was one of the best shooters in the entire league which the Dream Team roster didn't really have outside of Bird who was old. Fit wise, I think it would have been Stockton who was left off over Isiah.

Also Stockton, going into that 92 Summer had the same amount of All-Star appearances as Mullin. They both had 4 straight at the time.

I guess it's easy to look back historically as Stockton made two finals much later

Really came down to them carrying three SF or PG

But at that point Thomas had undoubtedly the better career over Stockton

Roster construction, Bird, Pippen and Mullin (even MJ) could handle the rock and do things PG's did. So it didn't really limit them in not carrying 3 PG's. At least from a team fit perspective. What they lacked really was shooting, but the game wasn't that perimeter oriented back then.

I think it is hard to argue with the 12 they picked.

Well, aside from Laetner anyway:

Isaiah had certainly achieved more, but Mullin was the better fit and closer to his prime.

Great point. Look at what happened to this year's FIBA team due to poor roster construction.
