Sometimes those things happen. Perhaps there was some mis-communication there. Those things do happen from time to time. It wasn't intentional and it was unfortunate.

My guess is quick turn means he's day to day and when he comes back he may be limited to a few DH games and then hopefully will be healed enough to take the field without any further setbacks.

My guess is, depending on his tolerance and pain, they may go ahead and MRI it. Yes, VERY glad a break is ruled out, but a regular xray will tell nothing about ligaments. I'm only saying that, because obviously if something is pulled/strained, wrap it and sit him....so we can get him back 100%. Sigh, they know what they're doing...

and the waiting begins for the snake-bit Rangers

He's young, in great shape...that helps with the supporting muscles, hence maybe it wasn't strained too much.
Those can hurt like hell, and then feel fine in a few days (okay relatively fine)
it did roll somewhat, but we've all seen worse and guys were okay.

Out of options isn't relevant until next year, this was his last year to be sent up and down freely, next year if they bring him up, he has to stay on the 25 man or they have to DFA or trade him
