It was noted by Evan Grant this morning that Scheppers, since getting punched in Cleveland bar, is allowing hitters to punch him around too. Seems he's getting hit at a .304 clip.

But we will keep giving him the ball in the 8th inning. :L

Out of options isn't relevant until next year, this was his last year to be sent up and down freely, next year if they bring him up, he has to stay on the 25 man or they have to DFA or trade him

Thanks, I didn't understand why some were saying out of options.
Makes sense now

A quote from an Evan Grant article talking about Tanner Scheppers - “My assessment of him is the same,” Washington said. “When the eighth inning rolls around, I’m going to give him the ball.” I could not disagree more. Cotts has earned that job as of now. Behind Cotts is Soria and Frasor. Scheppers falls in line behind them as of right now. That can change based on performance but what is RW trying to prove.

If I remember he had a lull earlier in the year as well and bounced back. For now I am ok with that. But since the Cleveland incident I believe I heard his era was well above 4. He's married and usually a bar fight that late a night will involve women. Plus before the incident Tanner's wife was very vocal and relevant on Twitter and since then she's pretty much toned it down a great ton. Not saying that's for sure the reason but I don't think things are going very well for him at home right now and that could also be a factor for him mentally.

Martin as we thought will sit today. Baker at LF, Rosales playing first and Gentry in center. SOTO catching.

I'm fine with soto catching. Surprised wash didn't take this opportunity to play Murphy.

Don't know if Wash watches the twitterwire but there were a lot more vocal folks talking about the Murphy play than here if you can believe that. Don't think that influenced him but if he is going to stay consistent with lefty righty thing, this batting order makes sense. It could be the most anemic line up yet but we shall see. Garza needs to keep the ball within the walls today.

Surprised?

Why would they even have Feldman pitch against the A's. It would have been better if they spot started some rookie or BP guy. 1st inning two hits, two walks and he is almost at 30 pitches.

Wow got out of the inning 28 pitches and only 13 for strikes. Could have been worse.

Most frustrating guy. Seems we couldn't win with or without him.

Also balked a dude into SP.

I am sure Feldman is nervous. The A's beat him around pretty good last year. I think they had a couple of double digit games against us last year when he was on the mound.

O's hitting the crap outta of this pitcher so far. 2-1 O's so far, might be a slugfest.

Feldman did get a few bad calls for a couple walks, and the run scored on a fluke hit.
I guess I'm a Feldman fan for a day
