It was noted by Evan Grant this morning that Scheppers, since getting punched in Cleveland bar, is allowing hitters to punch him around too. Seems he's getting hit at a .304 clip.

Out of options isn't relevant until next year, this was his last year to be sent up and down freely, next year if they bring him up, he has to stay on the 25 man or they have to DFA or trade him
Its called the Murphy theory. But we will keep giving him the ball in the 8th inning.
A quote from an Evan Grant article talking about Tanner Scheppers - “My assessment of him is the same,” Washington said. “When the eighth inning rolls around, I’m going to give him the ball.” I could not disagree more. Cotts has earned that job as of now. Behind Cotts is Soria and Frasor. Scheppers falls in line behind them as of right now. That can change based on performance but what is RW trying to prove.
Martin as we thought will sit today. Baker at LF, Rosales playing first and Gentry in center. SOTO catching.
I'm fine with soto catching. Surprised wash didn't take this opportunity to play Murphy.
Surprised?Feldman trying real hard to give the A's runs in the top of the first.
Surprised?
Most frustrating guy. Seems we couldn't win with or without him.Why would they even have Feldman pitch against the A's. It would have been better if they spot started some rookie or BP guy. 1st inning two hits, two walks and he is almost at 30 pitches.
Also balked a dude into SP.
