Mahle pitches for Frisco tonight. I imagine that means he will be back pitching for us in St. Louis in 5 or 6 days.

We are going to win at least one of the next two and then lose 4 of 6 against better opponents, most likely. Too bad we can't play the White Sox 30 more times this season.

Bochy , like most managers, is a big stickler for seniority. Seniority comes before merit in decision making on most big league clubs, in most cases.

Bradford's performance says he should start, but that cannot be allowed.

Or maybe he needs time to stretch out. And maybe Bochy is being objective

OK boys, the White Sox obviously suck, and the bats are still struggling. That said, we're 3 games out from Houston, who looks shaky, and only 2 back from Seattle, who look like a wounded duck.
Looks like Jung is starting another rehab assignment Friday, and Bochy says Carter is about a week behind him, progress-wise.
This upcoming series against Toronto will be crucial. Barring an ugly sweep, I can't see CY and the front office being sellers at the deadline.
If they're of a buyers mindset, they gotta be thinking along the lines of getting this offense going. Amazingly, pitching is not a need, whether talking starters or relievers.
If they make any significant move at the deadline at all, it needs to be for a high quality bat. Who could they target? I dunno.

FanGraphs now gives the Rangers a 21.7 percent chance at a playoff berth (with a projected 80.9 wins), with Houston at 61.0 percent (84.7 wins) and Seattle at 35.7 percent (82.3 wins).

I think 90 wins gets the division maybe 88
Seems low to me

We swept the Sox and that is great but take a closer look. Other than one game, we could easily lost three games. We should have taken those with ease.I do not believe this offense is where they should be. Imo, we will not fair as well with good teams until runs increase. Look back over the last few games at number of runs produced. This will not get us where we want to go until our offense starts to produce.

Prob not me but I’d we did bad against ChiSox and then Jays and then Cards
Moving expiring contracts would seem reasonable

Thinking I might be a little more patient and optimistic

But Lowe is hitting better and Adolis is better too
Both Marcus and Seager look good
But we needed to drive in more runs today

I will take a 4 game sweep against the Sox. In May we lost all 3 to a terrible Rockies team, lost 2 out of 3 to the Angels. In June 2 out of 3 to Detroit, Mets, San Diego, Giants and all 3 to Seattle and Milwaukee, 3 out of 4 to Baltimore.
