Every ounce of credibility of the MLB all star game is now gone. The worst lead off hitter in baseball is an all star. Some very deserving player just lost a career defining moment because of this joke. Just pathetic.

There is just too much seniority-driven decision making involved in baseball. I am sure they think Josh has to pay his "dues."

Unfortunately that is the way it works sometimes. There have been players who have missed most of the year and on the DL at the All Star break who made it on the All Star roster. I think Mike Schmidt was one of those.

Former Texas Rangers prospext, Tyler Phillips, made his MLB debut for the Phillies today. Out of the pen, he pitched 4 innings, allowed 1 run, and struck out 7.

He hadn't pitched all that great in the minors, and then they brought him up and got a good outing from him. You just never know about baseball
