Dunning only needed 72 pitches to get through 6 innings tonight.

This guy is a zone right now. Just imagine you could have Bratt, Leiter and Rocker in the rotation next year. We need good young talent. Maybe Kohl Drake is on the team as well.
Time to scrap older players who are hurt or ineffective
I don't want to be sellers, but we need some young offensive talent in the organization.

Anyone surprised that Eovaldi is going on the IL? I know I wasn't.

Obvious ball 4 was called a third strike on Jung which should’ve loaded the bases. I can’t stand these horrible umps these days knowing we could be utilizing a challenge system or computerized strike zones.

Expected it. I also expect deGrom to be there before the break. Invest in good older pitching...they will almost always break down during the season. Oh well.

I'm guessing a minor stint for this blister issue that's been popping up the last couple starts

From Shawn McFarland:

Bradford threw curveballs and sliders in a bullpen session Saturday for the first time since he was sidelined midway through spring training with an elbow strain. Most importantly, the left-hander “didn’t feel anything” in his elbow during or after the fact.

The session was a pivotal step for Bradford. His rehab and ramp-up have so far gone on without a hitch, but if he were to feel discomfort, Saturday’s breaking ball test very well may have triggered it, prolonged his recovery and raised the risk of elbow surgery.

“This whole last week of building up intensity of the breaking ball has been crucial,” Bradford said. “My elbow has responded really good to that. The hope is that time off healed it, and the UCL is repaired back to normal and God healed it naturally.”

Bradford will throw at least two more bullpens before facing hitters. He’s targeted the Rangers’ series at the Minnesota Twins (June 10-12) as a potential window to throw a live bullpen, depending on weather and how he responds to his next few sessions.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Sunday that Bradford and right-handed reliever Josh Sborz (shoulder surgery) are on similar return timelines. Sborz also threw breaking balls in a bullpen for the first time this season before Friday’s game.

“He feels good,” Bochy said of Bradford. “That’s the important thing right now. He’s getting close.”

It is good to see Smith with 2 doubles so far today. We really need him to get hot again.
Yes and along with a few others. If not, some serious decisions will have to be made if we plan to compete
