I think both deGrom and Eovaldi will each spend a short turn or two on the DL this season. That will naturally serve to manage their innings. Also, they won't always pitch as well as they have and therefore will be taken out earlier in some games.

I also think games will not be nearly as important to win in the last couple months of the season. Their starts in those months can be shortened without worrying about costing us a chance at the postseason.

The competition to see who gets moved up to Round Rock first, continues tonight as Kohl Drake pitches for Frisco. Mitch Bratt will get his turn this weekend.
Keeping my eye on that as well. It's tough one to predict. Since Drake is 3 years older probably hope he gets to RR first.
Make no mistake I think Bratt has the higher upside. He has been tremendous thus far.

You mean like when there was truth to the idea of Teodo being groomed to be a reliever. Feliz as well, I guess. And they have been asked about Gray over the last few months.
Not sure I understand. If Cy is mad I think there is likely truth to Kumar rumor but it appears like in only shooting the breeze

I always thought Teodo could be relief pitcher and it looks like that may be the route. Now I still like Latz as a SP ideally

Hoping this is not true and they stay strong and offense evolved
Bochy praised Jungs approach for the game winner

Great hit and swing by Jung taking Osuna lessons

This is the way!

Other batters should take a clue

Exactly if the team is out if the race come mid August or so then Bradford can get some starts. As long as it's not any retreads like Dunning. I know that can be said about Corbin but he has earned his spot in this rotation up to this point.
Plus we don't if the team will be sellers or what role Jon Gray will have.

Hope your right but we have sure seen quite a bit of disappointment with this team the past couple of weeks.
I am just floored that Pederson is batting 130 with just 2 hr. Thought he may just be getting it turned around and then the fractured wrist.

It is just hard to think this team could be this disappointing for this long and all of a sudden will catch fire. I think there is probably a 7 or 8 out of 10 stretch in them at some point, but I also think there will be several 3 or 4 out of 10 stretches, too.

I mentioned on here I think they will head into the last few days of July at 50-56. I mentioned to some guys on Twitter this morning that I think we will be 52-58 when July is over. That would make us sellers I would think.

If we are sellers we can't just get our toes wet. We need to be big time sellers and start making some serious renovations. A total sell-off isn't needed, but we should be looking at deals for our guys on expiring contracts and be willing to get blown away for others. I am really hoping some team gets desperate enough to trade for Adolis.

I mean we have seen scenarios where he could get mad at valid rumors and he did not get upset about them. It just isn't his MO, to react that way. I think Nightengale got stung by some bad sources.

Latz showed why he is one who could potentially be a SP
I’ve always liked Latz but there’s been something missing where he’ll crash and burn all of a sudden. He looked relaxed against the Jays and didn’t appear he was trying to strike people out but he did because the Jays strike out a lot. Would like to see him put 2 appearances like that again after this one and if successful give him a start.

The Rangers have been good at not letting people know what they’re really thinking.
