Of course, but even a crappy GM can end up with a team that wins some by accident. Players can also make up for a bad GM, almost impossible to compete with a bad coach. Not many examples of teams winning dispite following horrible coaching.

This is what I had mentioned in an earlier post. I am not sure AEG really knows whats going on. If anything, they see 105pts and made the playoffs. Not sure about the financials but I doubt they Kings are losing any money, therefore the status quo will remain.

I think it was time. Some new blood and a shakeup is needed. Wonder if Hiller is gone as well.

Apparently no discussions with Robotile and Jill since season ended.

This was a way for Blake to save face, stepping out as opposed to be being thrown out. He made some good moves but mostly not, my biggest beef is the mismanagement of assets, outlandish contracts and hanging onto fringe players way longer than he should have and completely tanking their trade value to the point of waiver wire fodder. Don't even get me started on the drafting and development, I think that's more on Yanetti and his group than Blake.

That said, this clears the way for a new GM who has full control of whether Jill stays or not. I'm not in the Bergevin will obviously take over camp, my belief is this is an opportunity to bring in a fresh set of eyes and build this team properly. Please no announcement that Nelson Emerson has been named the next GM of the Los Angeles Kings.

There may be a set back from the 105 points and RS winning the Kings have done the last four years but I'd rather build right and for the long haul that results in PO wins and a Cup.

Doesnt have to be a retread, but even that is fine. A new retired player coach or AHL guy....a new idea or someone that can change ideas when its needed....less ego and more thought
