Next weeks game just became very important. I don't see the 49ers losing to the Bears at home and no team wants to dig a deep hole to climb out of.

How about now? :p

Some weird results this week. No need to worry at this point. Lots of stuff for every team to improve upon.

Yeah that Niners loss makes me feel a lot better about today. Thank God Colin Kaepernick remembered who he really is.

Speaking of the Arizona game, Did anyone else see Tj Houshmanzadeh say that if you took the Manning off Eli's name, then he's just a backup NFL QB, but his name has given him a job and a lot more chances than those with other names?

And the safety/LBs could not cover Gates.

Gates isn't a softie that will roll over like Jimmy Graham and Julius Thomas. Gates is a hard nosed baller who never shies from contact and will fight for the football. If I could have my pick of any TE in the league I'd take Gates over all of the rest.

This is the same idiot that went on local radio telling the Seattle fans not to show up if they were going to boo the home team. Solving the problem by not playing like crap apparently didn't cross his mind.

I agree with him, Eli has been terrible for most of his career, including his 48th multi-INT game today.

But he's played in a stadium that's absolutely brutal on QB's for his home games. I'm not saying he's great but it's not like replacing the toughest position in sports to fill is a simple thing to do.

He's actually better at home than on the road (like most QBs), so having the hard place to play isn't what hurts him. It's bad decisions and inaccuracy.

Amazing, that the 49er lose at home after being up by 17. That sure help take a bit of the sting of the Seahawks losing.

No offense but I think the heat excuse is lame.....both teams had to deal with the heat

Who's bashing? I think weather excuse in any sport for any team is lame because both teams deal with the same weather. I rather hear an injury/poor officiating

So you don't get how that reportedly 120 degree field was worse on Seattle's defense than SD's when the chargers had the ball for over 42 of the 60 minutes?

Seattle's quick scores killed them. Bad. They averaged 7.2y / play which was more than every game last season including the playoffs. They took yards in chunks and for whatever reason were nowhere near as good at eating up the clock with slow grinding drives. In 100+ weather that very much matters. Look at how fresh SD's defense was in that last drive to end the game.

So tell us again how even the heat was on both lol.

And the home team in this case did a FAR better job of dealing with that heat and executing a game plan that saved their defense. So yes, the weather was a huge factor in this game and I'm sure everyone else sees that plainly.

Factor yeah but it seems to be more used as an excuse. If you're defense played as they typically do and didn't allow 10 3rd down conversions the time of possession would've much different which means the heat wouldn't have been as big of an issue

I think Seattle poor defense is the main reason you guys were defeated. Can't control time of possession as the chargers did if you aren't moving the ball
