My point on Profar is that he WAS the most highly touted prospect in baseball the last 2 seasons. THE #1 guy on everybody's radar coming up to the big leagues. I don't think its a stretch to say he's been a big disappointment RELATIVE to the expectations.
I don't base my expectations on other people's reality. What had Profar done to that point to warrant such high expectations?

He's still a baby tho. I think he improves greatly next season or he gets traded. We know he's capable because we see great things from him. He's just not consistent and that's expected.
He needs to be playing every day and at one position - and I'll bet he'll be great...

Machado and Myers aren't generational talents either but both bring much more to their respective clubs.

Agreed.... We were in a sticky situation with our log jam in the Infield. I would of left him in triple A this year and moved him to 2B next year with kinsler moving to left field to take Murphy's spot.

Profar has always been highly touted because of his defense. He's only been projected as a .280 hitter at best. He's 20 years old, he's got plenty of time to come around.

Myers spent a fair amount of time in the minors until he was "ready", then the rays called him up and put him in the starting lineup, not platooned. Machado was much younger, but was called up and put in at 3b, and has played there every day since. Profar is not getting this same opportunity, and it is hurting him, IMO....

I think profane can have 20 homer power if he doesn't stay to thin and bulks up. 165 is so light

I'm just sore about this loss. Holland throws a great game, and Rangers can't do shit on offense. And AJP just happens to be one of my least favorite players in baseball. He could hit a HR everyday and I'd still dislike him. You think CJ was a douche, AJP has him beat every day and twice on Sundays. Hated when Texas signed him.

I know Kinsler got the game winner against Milwaukee, but he has really been slumping lately at the plate. He may be due for a day off...

Elvis Andrus said he ran through a Gary Pettis stop sign in the first inning.

These poor base running decisions have got to stop...I love that we're aggressive, but we have to be smart about it too.. We haven't been very smart....

I don't see swapping Berkman for Profar as the missing ingredient.

I honestly think Wash's trust in veterans to get it done and get a 1-0 win. There were more misplays (or no plays) by Wash than on the field. Got bit.

If berkman plays like he did in April is it a step up?

There were two outs. Play was in front of him. It was the first inning. I don't have anything against him trying. That's aggressive baseball they need to play when they are having a difficult time scoring conventionally.

Listening to a Ranger post game show and their giving it to Wash for carrying on with this Murphy crap and not starting Gentry. They also critized Wash for not ph Baker for AJ with the bases loaded.
