I think Davis W is very versatile as well
I do think Zeke has mor upside and is still young
Maybe send Zeke down for down some seasoning so wjen he gets those ABs he is fresh

Duran and Jankowski both have struggled this year in bench roles. I mean they are struggling compared to how they did when getting regular plating time last year. I think what they have given us is fairly close to what you can expect from erratic playing time. There are a few guys who can do better in those roles, but not very many.

Saddles you are on the money. Smith is a classic example of your take. What is the old saying, practice makes perfect? I think Langford needs playing time to see him inprove. He has done a good job but will get better with time in the field. However, when Jung returns, I expect to see Duran, Ski, Smith and Leody spending time on the bench unless one is moved to make room for Jung.

Houston loses again.
While that’s great, they’re playing in the worst division in baseball, record wise. If they were in the AL Central they’d be pretty much buried at 11 1/2 games out.

Ragans with a good bounce back game thru 5 innings - sign of a good pitcher.

So Jared Walsh is guaranteed 1.5 million from Rangers for 53 at bats? I understand his strikeout rate was unacceptable but that’s expensive.

Smith would still be a regular for the most part. He can be our DH or let others DH while he plays their position in the field.

That will not be enough time imo. Did not bode well for Duran and he did not perform like Smith has.

I am not getting where you are coming from. He will get ABs just about every game. You would have Langford, Carter and Garcia in the OF. Jung, Seager, Semien and Lowe IF and Heim catching and Smith DH. I don't think for him mentally being sent down to AAA will be beneficial.

I'm saying like Langford, he will regress some if all he does is DH and he will not play much on defense. Agree AAA is not a good move. He will also share time with Leody and Ski.

I think when all the pieces are back, that Bochy will see that Leody needs to sit. At that point, CY may see that we don't need two bench guys who only play the OF, making Leody expendable.

I see what you're saying now. But I think it needs to be this way. You don't want to send a 300 hitter down. It will still be a while before that happens though.

Maybe a sniff of the big league has focused him in Without looking it seems like a 1st class outing might have to reuse this weapon ahead
