My thoughts exactly. Once teams forced jimmy to throw outside he couldn't do it consistently
Purdy could suffer the same fate if they figure out they need to flood the middle of the field

Too bad no points after a turnover. Not sure what that dumbass announcer is talking about "That should've been a 1st down (if he caught it)... JSN would've gotten lit up before he came anywhere near the 1st, hence why I think he pulled up and almost allowed an INT to begin with. Should've been a unsportsmanlike on San Fran there... Metcalf actually did a good job baiting that response. But whatever, would've been after the play.

Yep. Great start, lot of good motion, screens, outside tackle runs. Now we're just right back to SLOW crossing routes and runs up the middle. Ugh... I'm sure the next 3 and out will be complete with a deep throw that's incomplete to the sidelines...
