Ya I replied on that on twitter. Jack playing the game and then gets left holding the bag in the end. You the man Jack-ass

The conversation we had convinced me you were right about trading Kuma. I was just too proud to admit I was wrong in the middle of the conversation, lol.

I could tell you were coming from the side of passion for a player and not necessarily what was best for the team. Teams go through that as well at times. I have no problem with Kuma, but would love to get a 'B' prospect for him and the re-sign him for the 5th spot at 5th spot money next year. I think he would do it because he turned down a lot of money from A's to sign with M's a year later.

The one thing that I am most surprised about this trade deadline is the fact Jack hasn't dealt the farm for Puig. It just seems like a Jack move.

I wonder what the asking price for Puig is

The Tigers reboot after one .500 season but M's are too proud after 14 years of playoff-less baseball? Ya, we are a real MLB team.

Yep.

His trade value goes nowhere but down with each start. Being Japanese and factoring in that Safeco is the home park, he will jump at a chance to re-sign with Seattle in 16, no matter where he gets traded this season. And if we don't need him, then great! It's the definition of a no-brainer, as several of us have been saying ever since he came back.

If Z doesn't trade him, then I'll be truly baffled. Even if (when?) he gets raped, we gain absolutely nothing by holding onto him.

M's need to trade (realistic):

JJ Happ
Iwakuma
A. Jackson
D. Ackley
Cruz
Trumbo

Not going to mention Cano because no one will take on his salary... I don't want to move Walker or Paxson... I want to give them another season before doing so... We don't have much in the minors to replace them...

Why wouldn't he do that deal? Ackley is a freaking platoon player for us right now, while riding the pine almost every night... He's a PH/PR for the most part at this point... Is there another team bidding on his services as well? Who knows...

Ackley is the type of player that will have a solid career, imo, once he lands with a new team... He'd be perfect for the SF Giants...

As I said before, I'm not in favor of trading Cruz.

Not only is Cruz good player, but he is disproving the myth that big hitters can't do well with Safeco as a home field. That attracts talent that might otherwise be reluctant to sign here, and could free up some payroll for that would otherwise be used to overpay for them to come in the first place.

And that's what they do here. He's too good, so they WOULD ship him off so we'd stay consistently bad.

The Mariner Way.

We've been connected to the Dodgers for a couple years. We're out of it and they're looking for pitching. They have a surplus of OF talent which we need.

Right now they look like they're getting Mat Latos, who isn't very good.

We should be offering Kuma or Walker for Scott Van Slyke as I type this instead. Walker hopefully would get a + on their end, but I don't think it's far off.

I just don't fucking get it. How do you add young talent w/o making these kinds of deals? Writers just wrote that it is now a sellers market for pitchers because of deals made and players being kept now. This is why we suck and fuck Jackass. Tired of him and this fucking organization. Losers up and down the line.

Sources: Despite well-under-.500 record, Mariners do not plan on trading Hisashi Iwakuma. Seattle telling teams ownership wants to keep him.

Even though this doesnt shock me one bit, it doesnt make it any less frustrating to root for a franchise run by idiots.

They should have bought more last year, they should have sold more in 2013. Every fucking July its the same shit story. Jackass is bumbling idiot but ownership and Lincoln are even dumber for keeping him this long. I mean they wont even trade away Ackley.

Until the entire structure changes they will always be losers. It sucks
