Latest ESPN Insider rumors say it looks like the Islanders don't want to trade Nabby. He apparently likes Long Island, and they may start contract talks. That's good news, becase I don't want to see him in Chicago.
Selanne isn't thiinking about a trade right now. He wants to see how they do on their upcoming long road trip. How they do on that trip will determine if he considers being moved or not...

I dont believe that for a second. He wants to win a cup before he retires and the Islanders are not even close. Nabbys no spring chicken these days

I agree. However, Garth isn't going to trade Nabby until he feels the Islanders are out of it.

Both sides have confirmed that they are discussing the possibility of a re-signing. According to McKenzie it was Nabokov's side that initiated the talks.

Islanders are not far off being a solid PO team and I think Nabby's desire to be a starter out weighs a shot at a cup.

Very few goalies demand high dollars anymore, Rinne has been the exception recently, but you see a team like Vancouver and they are totally fucked with that Borat contract
