Actually...

Havlat + Murray + 1st + top D prospect (Petrecki?)

No way CBJ takes that package.

I think we have some cap space so it doesn't have to be a matching salary swap. Pavs/picks/dman would make sense on their part.

Wilson would probably have to start with either Pavelski or Couture just to keep Hawson from hanging up. IMO the Sharks shouldn't trade either of those two for Nash.

If Wilson can pull a rabbit out of his ass maybe something like:

Clowe + Demers/Braun + Freddie Hamilton (Sharks #2 Forward Prospect) + Harri Sateri (Sharks #2 Goalie Prospect) + 1st in 2012.

Even that may not be enough.

For what Nash is going to take to get... I just don't want him, sorry. There's just no way he's worth what I'm sure is being asked in return for him.

Agreed. IMO the Shark would fall back into being too top heavy with salary. Wilson failed to increase the teams foward depth significantly when he had the cap room he's sure not going to be able to do it by adding Nash's bloated cap hit.

Although, trading for Nash is a move that has Doug Wilson written all over it.

Nash would make a nice "replacement" for when Marleau starts his decline. But like you said, adding him puts another big contract on the payroll and now is not the right time to do that.

The ignore feature on this board rocks.

Holy shit, we have an ignore feature???

And I don't like the idea of picking up Nash. Having a high priced floating forward didn't work out with Heatley and I don't see it working out with Nash. It would absolutely kill our depth (which isn't great already)

Plus he's signed to six more years at that cap hit...

It's pretty great. You still have to put up with some stuff when it's quoted, but still a great feature. Just click on your profile, go into edit profile and add them to your ignore list. Works very well for me.

For example, I do a lot more of :ranger:

And a lot less of : :frusty:

Id love to get nash, but too would worry... I would only take him if they can get rid of a little of the deadweight on the roster. I would be open to trading clowy as much as I love him, nash plays with a similar edge and of course a massive amount more skill. cooch may be in nashs league in terms of overall skill as he could be an 80 pt, 40 goal player easy. he would be untouchable.

I just dont see a deal for nash that makes much sense for both teams. However, if dougie is able to deal murray 2.5M salary in any deal, then it could be a solid win for the sharks. Dougie knows that the window is narrowing with JT and PM approaching 33 and boyler at 36 while nash is 27. Players of his talent and age are rarely available, so Im sure dougie will be a player.

Maybe the Sharks trade their whole farm system for Nash! J/k

I do like the thought of Nash in Teal, but wouldn't like the price to get him.

Has anybody heard anything about Ruuto's MRI results yet??

If he pulls off another Thornton Esque type deal that would be sick

I know I sound like a homer but I'm not interested in any trade that has Couture being shipped out. Pavelski or Clowe, I can deal with, not LoCo.
