Is it customary to wear a white T-shirt & red shorts to an arraignment?

Well, he clearly tried to cover it up, he just did an awful job of it. Tip #1: Don't kill someone within walking distance of your house. And if you do, move the body. Or a least hide it so a jogger won't run into it.

He "tried" covering it up, but short of searching in google "How to kill someone in a rental car" he did everything wrong. The rental was in HIS name, he didn't look for any shell casings in the car, he was still holding the gun when he entered the house, he destroyed his phone/video surveillance, etc.

It's like...hey, everyone look in my direction!

TV Networks are drooling over the possibility of a televised Hernandez trial.

sucks to be the Patriots with all of the questions they'll face during the trial.

Press: (Question about Hernandez.)

Belichick: I'm only interested in the guys we have on the team now.

(Repeat.)

All Hernandez had to do is run the guy over with his car & throw back a dozen beers. He'd throw some ca$h at the family & do 30 days in jail & get back into the league by week 1.

Also, it looks like you have a much better chance of getting away with murder from a stabbing (Ray Lewis, OJ) than a gun (Hernandez, Rae Carruth).

When I posted the lyrics to informer I thought it was a power play to get him to talk about one of the 2 other guys. Now I'd post lyrics from Murder was the Case that they gave me

Lloyd seemed to have the good sense to realize that something wasn't right if Hernandez wanted to meet him at 2:30am. Sending out texts to people that he was with Hernandez... just wonder why he even went in the first place.

I doubt they gave him an opportunity to change. He answered the door shirtless as they arrested him and they threw the white T on before doing the perp walk.

Yeah, looks like they cuffed him and then put the T-shirt on after doing so.

I'm no expert in these matters, but maybe he should've turned himself in earlier. It would've saved him the embarrassment and possibly resulted in slightly lesser charges.

There's still a SLIGHT chance (SLIGHT) that he can get away with this because 1) they don't have the weapon and 2) there are no legitimate witnesses at this time. It's a tough climb for the defense attorney, but without those two pieces of evidence there's A chance he'll get a lesser charge than if just he turned himself in. We'll see happens. He's fucked either way.

It's safe to say his career is pretty much in the crapper. It will be interesting to see if his life ends up there, too. Based on what I heard in the arraignment - assuming they can prove what they say they can, there's virtually no doubt that he was involved. The only real question is whether he's the one who pulled the trigger. If they find the gun or if one of the other guys talks, he's hosed.

I don't know. If he gets off I don't see any reason an NFL team wouldn't sign him. The Ravens didn't cut Ray. Stallworth didn't have any trouble finding work. Michael Vick served 2 years in prison & was signed immediately upon his release. Plax is a similar case.

If he pleads guilty or gets convicted, his career's over. If he beats this thing, I think he'll be playing in the NFL at the very next opportunity.

What a dumbass......

Best case, he knows who did it and he is an accessory. Worst case, he pulled the trigger.

.......actually my previous statement is an insult to dumbasses.

I don't know... I can't fully remember the details but I think Ray was arrested, arraigned, and went to trial with those two other guys the whole way. As far as I know, Hernandez is all by himself on this... they didn't arrest his buddies.

I'm simply setting parameters for best and worst case. My gut tells me he was either the trigger man or standing right next to him.

Oh ya, this probably was at best case a Rae Carruth thing or at worst he did it himself. Looking back at the stuff they said today, they just said a man got out of a car with a gun and walked around at Hernandez's house... they didn't say a man resembling Hernandez.

Maybe he did do something stupid like hire a hitman from craigslist.

I'm kind of curious what the motive is... obviously the guy wasn't pregnant with Hernandez's baby

So with regards to the money situation for NE:

Dead money = money the player has received already but has not yet counted against the cap when a player is removed from a roster. It all accelerates to the current year (post June 1 it can be split over the current year and the following season).

With regards to Hernandez specifically, according to Andrew Brandt the Pats may have difficulty in recouping any of the signing bonus because they cut him before any charges were known.

With regards to the case, he's an idiot.

No matter what it is, I doubt it's worth throwing his life away.
