Pretty much the entire left coast. Minus their Salmon. They do salmon well.

They average about 2.5 lbs.

I loved going diving for them. Lots of meat little work. Pop off the shell. Snip off the gut sack. Run under warm water and peel off the skin. Then it's all meat.

Yes they do. Used to dig them in Morro Bay mudflats.
We also have better quality fish than (most) of East Coast.
We have very good Dungeness crabs
We also have pismo clams - great even raw!
We have abalone
We also have "lobsters"
We have California Sea Otters (cute liberal loved rats) eating up all of the above.....

So where the heck did you deterimine you have better quality fish than the east coast? Also no you cannot touch Maine Lobster, I lived in Cali and no nope no way

Dungeness are over rated. A lot of work for little reward.

Pismo clams meh. I'd take Little necks, quahogs and any NE fried clam over anything on the W. Coast.

Abalone expensive and harder and harder to find.

Lobster... please no claws come on man.

We'll have to agree to differ on the fish.

We have colder water and more rocks.
Can't touch Maine lobster, that's why the "lobster"
Very few greasy gulfstrean fish can touch the varieties that we have off the west coast.
NE has cod and striper (rockfish) we have that also......

Faves: Ling Cod, Boccacio, Cabezone, any of the Seabastes family, King Salmon, Pacific Halibut,
We have all the tuna and marlin, etc, you have,

Seriously? You eat American Shad? Many of these are what you would call trash fish.
We have many of these on West Coast.
I don't eat bluefish, shad, tomcod, little tunny, skates, dogfish, hickory shad, croaker, kingfish.
Tell me what your favorites are?

Not to brag but.
I can meet the boats at Saquatucket Harbor and get real fresh seafood.
The boats give a heads up the day before they land with what they have and time of arrival on Facebook.
My house is under two miles from the harbor.

I am not really a fish eater so I don't have a fave. You stated there is better fish on the left coast I asked you where you got that information. I have never heard that. Then you started spewing of about the waters and fish none of which are any proof the west coast fish are better. Is that your opinion or is there something to back the comment?

NE has cod and striper (rockfish) we have that also......

Haddock, Hake, Cusk, Halibut, Flounder are Atlantic fish and the Haddock, Halibut and Cusk are only found in deep cold water,

Then, of course, there's Bay and Ocean Scallops.

Can't eat seafood, so I have no way of comparing them.
