K we got Metcalf....

We needed a boom/bust prospect at WR this draft. Hopefully we got the latter.

D.K. FUCKING METCALF

He's not a very good route runner... He only played one side of the field and had limited number of routes he had to run... I'm not sold on him... Hopefully he proves me wrong... I was hoping we'd get Riley Ridley instead...

A talent? You mean the guy who was initially projected as a 1st rounder to begin the season to almost dropping into the 3rd round? Obviously other teams saw something they didn't like to let him slide like he did...

Raw talent, that got a ton of hype. I am fine with him, but don’t expect immediate results. Which is why he lasted so long.

Running "GO" patterns down the sidelines isn't going to translate into the pro's... He's going to have to learn how to run routes while shielding off the DB...

Shielding off a DB shouldn't be trouble for him... just give him a slight nudge:

If other teams werent rating him highly and rated other players more highly, then he was a reach. He would have been available later.

Doesnt mean jack shit how schneider had him ranked.

And now we trade up and waste our precious late round picks??!?!

Accumulating picks is the 'reason' we were able to move up... That's why you do that... Move up when a guy you want is still available...

Accumulating picks was the end goal i thought, not actually picking players.

Dude is 238 pounds and 6 foot 3 inches tall running a 4.33 40, This guy is a big mean SOB that might have knocked Kam down lol. All kidding aside i think he is a 1 trick pony but if he stays healthy ( if ) i think he can be a solid #3-#4 this year ( 26-46 receptions )

With some work he could be something very special, or this could be a bust. This very well could be, it's going to be a drastic take one way or the other on Metcalf.

One thing this doesn't help is the return game. Makes you wonder if we can see the Hawks draft someone thats a returner?

Anyone got a list handy of DB's that also were returners in college and GOOD ones?
