Most have him 3rd rounder... Stop exaggerating...

Youre still ok picking a guy a round early when clearly higher rated players are available?

Define "higher rated" when it comes to players who specifically fit what the Seahawks are targeting. Just because one player is rated by draft analysts higher than another doesn't mean that automatically makes him the superior pick SPECIFICALLY for the Seahawks. So many factors come into play.

If other teams werent rating him highly and rated other players more highly, then he was a reach. He would have been available later.

Doesnt mean jack shit how schneider had him ranked.

And now we trade up and waste our precious late round picks??!?!

None of us, you included, have any idea how other teams had any of these players rated. It only takes one of them to think similarly to JS/PC for them not to get "their guy" with their next pick instead of this one.

Or do you have some publication from the other 31 teams showing their draft board? If so, can you post it for all of us and the Seahawks?

Is there a practice draft that took place last week or something? How do you know if someone went too early or could have been there 72 rounds later?

Exciting pick, but definitely the most likely complete bust we've drafted, so far. Hope he can develop his skill set around his freakish athleticism.

DK Metcalf....I suppose that is the big/fast WR guy that lots of fans drool over, but how long will it take him to grow into his NFL skin? 2nd round picks get a 4 year contract, and you cannot extend them until after year 3. I think Golden Tate is pretty much the perfect WR for our offense, and it took him 3 years to become Golden Tate and then he went off to Detroit a year later. His first 2 years were more or less a wash, which is one reason I'm not big on early picks for WRs.
