Malik has issues, guy was a disaster from the start … He was finding trouble all the time … And not just because of the quad accident, dude has mental problems …

all this was after the accident but yeah he had issues before. The one thing that kept it from showing up was he had no money. Once he got his signing bonus the demons were set free. He would have been a bust because all he wanted was money. You can tell his life focuses around it calling people broke ass bitches or i got money you need more people to hold me because i got money. It was ALL about money for him. Just another thug. His parents should be proud how they raised him ... NOT!

Good video. Before the draft I wanted one of Fautanu, Murphy, Latu, or Verse.

But honestly it was Murphy or Fautanu or Murphy for me. And I think it is easier to fill interior OL players than interior DL players. Getting the best interior DL player in the draft is a huge win.

Grab a guard in the 3rd. Maybe another on day 3. Our offense is pretty good. A little better OL play can make it really good.

But our D was terrible last year. Adding Murphy to line makes us much much better.

This is my favorite 1st round pick since Okung

Im happy with it, they didnt do anything cute they didnt outsmart themselves they took the best player at arguably the biggest need.

Also, interesting if true:

What did they give up?

Ok The Vikings gave up the No. 23 pick, a 2024 fifth-round pick (No. 167 overall) and third- and fourth-round picks in the 2025 draft.

I can see why the Hawks didn't bite on a trade. It didn't net them that 2nd they wanted and 2 of those picks are in next years draft.

Murphy was a big reason Texas made the playoffs last year. A rotation with him on the DL is huge, he should be an immediate day 1 starter and impact player. He had one of the best (if not the best) pass rush grades in NCAAF. He can also be a 3 down player.

Interior DL (which Seattle needed) was VERY weak this draft. We got the best interior DL and it's not even close... even in a draft where an NFL record of 20+ offensive players were drafted, nobody would've graded Murphy as a top 10 pick poorly. Seattle's FO continues the trend of taking BPA in the draft.. I would've loved Latu as well. I wasn't aware Turner had huge injury concerns.

This is my favorite 1st round pick since Okung

This is my fav 1st round pick since Walter jones and fav first round Defensive pick since Cortex Kennedy. I was 50/50 between him and Fautanu.

Dunno if it's my fave pick since Walter Jones or Kennedy (I loved our Wagner pick) but it's definitely up there. If you watch some footage of Murphy it's pretty insane how low he gets with twitchy movement. I think he'll flat out abuse slow guards/centers.

I love this pick. As said, it satisfies both BPA and need. I think this kid can be a special player. In a weird kinda way, it makes passing on Carter last year work out. Time will tell though.

Wagz was a 2nd rounder Shark.

Yah I know, guess I just read it as favorite defensive pick in recent memory. Gotta be Shawn Springs? Jesus... have we not had a great 1st round pick in that long on defense? I know ET was one of the best safeties to play the game, but I still was like, "BUT TAYLOR MAYS!?" lol. I can't say I called that one correctly lol.

I did think Aaron Curry was going to save Seattle... I'll never live that one down.

Yeah, our team's history of first round draft picks isn't great, especially on defense. But then again, I think most teams struggle in that regard because the majority of first rounders get over hyped and turn out pretty average. Someone on the main board thread mentioned that teams are built and GMs earn their money in rounds 2-4 which I kinda agree with. The later picks are mostly just luck if they pan out like the Rams with Nacua or us with Sherman, etc. But the second and third round can net a team all pros and HOFers like Wagz.

What an idiot. That guy is so lucky he didn't get shot. Pro tip: never fight with the police. They have authority you don't and they will call back up to make sure you lose. You can't ever win by getting in a physical fight with a cop. Take the ticket and fight in court. Lot's of cops would have shot a big dude like him when he started throwing them around and shrugged off the taser. Man he's lucky.

Now wonder who the Seahawks take with their third round pick today? Guard is the biggest need after that ILB. Per ESPN

Best left at guard:

Christian Haynes then
