Bad idea. ;)

However, if he was to go somewhere.. Avs is my vote.
Sid is going to finish his career with the Pens, I just cannot see it any other way

There is a 21 year old undrafted college prospect named Collin Graf that the Pens need to go after and sign ... A few teams have shown interest and attended his games with Quinnipiac, and while a team like the Rangers seem like a preferable destination, the Pens have a few things going for them : Sid and the legacy of great NHL players ...

From here on out, I'm looking at the 'Canes to go all the way ... We get their 1st rounder if they win the Cup .. Sure, it would be the lowest in the 1st, but it's better than Philly's second ( which is *I think* what we'd receive as part of the Guenzel trade )

Yeah, I think at least the majority of his career. He said he would like to sign an extension after this year. He is set to be a FA after next year.

Who knows. but he acts like he wants to be here forever. Could maybe spend his last year on another team but I think the majority of the rest of his years is going to be remaining in Pitt it sounds like and very likely the rest of his career.

This is the FA discussion thread, NOT the boring forum thread.

In case anyone was wondering...

Peart was once highly regarded coming out of college, dropped in the draft. Not a bad signing as a depth guy.

Really good athlete, underdeveloped coming out.

Hey.....just saying. I doubt he beats out Stidham anyway.

You can still draft a QB and let him sit and learn the offense and then throw him to the wolves in his 2nd season.

I don't see this happening to be honest. IF we start Stidham we are probably ending up picking in the top 10 again with another good QB draft. We will probably have to see the rookie a lot this year to make sure we got the right guy.

It's going to be interesting for sure.

Payton has never been in this position before. In NO....he had a veteran in Brees.

That's why I say they have a plan.

They can't be counting on one of the top 4... They have to have a plan beyond that. A full out plan, not just a Plan A.
The only thing I have seen is Brees having a Shit eating grin when asked what the Broncos were going to Do at QB ... this was early on Wilson still on bord so yes they have a plan . They seem happy were we are ...but who knows

I don't think plan b involves a qb next year. If we move up to grab one of the top 4 qbs this year we likely won't have the capital to get into the top 2 rounds next year.

The NFL has proven - beyond a shadow of a doubt - they really are just pining the tail on the donkey as far of getting QBs right in the draft. So don't outthink it by trading up. Anyway - I think the Broncos and I are in alignment on picking Bo Nix. The Broncos have to figure out how low they can safely go - to get additional picks - and still get Nix.

Unless they package #12 with Surtain ... Not sayin' I agree - or disagree - but I think it is a legit option

You are reading ever click bait article on the Buffs. If the rebuild is going to take 3 years - trading Surtain would make sense, but I don't think Sean Payton would say that.

I will say - the Broncos seem very confident in whatever plan it is that they have.

Kendall Hinton is on the free agent market and Sean Payton saw what he was capable of when he started at QB against the Saints.

BTW,

How did Kendall Hinton not land at least a PS spot somewhere last year? Blows my mind.

That is this year. I said next year. If we trade up this year and miss, we're screwed for 2025.
