very misleading name

NFL Game Pass provides exclusive access to live out-of-market preseason games. While regular season and postseason games are not available to watch live, NFL Game Pass does offer live audio for every game of the season. And we’ve got you covered on replays, too. If you have the N FL Network, they are showing game after game after game.

Just watched the Bears beat the Miami Dolphins 20-13

Bills crushed the Lions 16-15

Right now the Bronco are embarrassing the Vikings in the first 9-0. Safety and an 80 yard Locke to KJ Hamler TD.

I'll be DVRing Chiefs at SF and Jet/Giants.

Cowboys lost their second preseason game to the Cardinals.

Pretty much vanilla across the board because it's just everyone getting used to the physical game.

Just finished watching the Chiefs and 49ers.

The commentators were pumping up Andy Reid rebuilding of the entire OL this year. Now that Thuney is with the Chiefs he's one of the greatest OG in the history of the the NFL and in 2021 he's the best LG in the league. Orlando Brown is now one of the top 3 L T in the NFL now the he's protecting Mahomes blind side.

Anyway, the starting offenses were pretty sluggish. The backups weren't much better. the camp fodder played best. With 2:00 remaining in the game, the 49ers scored their first TD and pushed the score to 16-13. It took the KC scrubs 1:17 to make it 19-16 and that was the final.

Another interesting game was a bit of a shocker. Texans 26 Packers 7.

Don't need playoff games - Available on main networks. All preseason games are available (live)
Only downside is waiting to see the regular games. I'm used to it.

Plenty of teams play to win the preseason to build positive sentiment going into the season. BB would rather not challenge a call in the preseason and have his team execute under more adversity.

Preseason means different things to different players, coaches and teams.

Tom Giles of NBC Sports Boston had an interesting comment last night.

"NFL teams have 85 man rosters today. Only 63 of them will be playing in the NFL on September 9th. There are 22 men who will be unemployed on every team or about 700 people who will be on the streets. These are the guys that I worry about when Mac Jones is on the field with the second and third teams. These guys will do anything to get a team's attention and a job and that includes hurting an opposing player. If Bill has any intention of starting Mac, then he should be playing him with the first team and not exposing his him to someone who was a 2nd team player through most of his college career."

The New England Patriots played some near-flawless football against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, at least as far as the scoreboard is concerned: New England beat its opponent with a final score of 35-0, dominating the contest almost from start to finish. But while the result does look good, there are some areas of concern.

One of them is injuries. As a look at this week’s injuries list shows, the Patriots suffered a few of them.

Injury analysis

LB Josh Uche: After already missing a bit of time during last week’s preseason game against the Washington Football Team, Uche suffered another injury in Philadelphia. Neither the severity of the ailment nor when it exactly happened is known at this point in time — his last snap came early in the second quarter — but we do know that he left for the locker room with the team’s trainers early during the second period. Uche did not return and his night ended after a combined eight defensive and special teams snaps.

QB Mac Jones: The first-round quarterback, who had another strong outing, appeared to be a bit slow getting up after a scramble in the second quarter. His slide to the ground looked a bit awkward and he did not immediately pop back up again, but it seems that he did not suffer any major injury if any at all: Jones went right back to the huddle and remained in the game for 29 additional snaps afterwards.

WR N’Keal Harry: Harry is in the middle of his best summer since entering the league in 2019, but he suffered an apparent shoulder injury late in the second quarter against the Eagles. Laying himself out for a deep Mac Jones passing attempt, the wideout remained on the ground and later had to visit the blue medical tent before departing for the locker room. Harry did not return to the game and he was later spotted wearing a sling on his left arm.

LB Ronnie Perkins: Perkins was slow to get up after a third-down sack midway through the third quarter. The rookie was blocked to the ground during the play and stayed there, but later walked off the field under his own power while still visibly shaken up. He was checked out by the medial staff but returned to the field for a punt play later that same quarter.

What this means for the Patriots

Jones and Perkins should be fine moving forward — neither of them had any visible limitations after their injury scares — but the same can unfortunately not yet be said about Uche and Harry. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick also did not offer any updates during a media conference call on Friday morning.

I suspect the Mac discomfort was due to the "brace" on his knee.
Harry's situation is a shoulder injury. I have way to much experience with these. The sling and suggestion of week to week, suggests a sprain or even a partial dislocation. Either can cause stretching of the ligaments stabilizing the shoulder. They do not heal or shrink back. continued "laying out" for passes could weaken these ligaments each time. Trainers can help by taping but that eliminates a players ability to lay out and transfers stress to other body parts. A "non-serious" injury is an injury to someone else! If he still has a sling on in 2 weeks I would cut him. He'll never be the same.
Uche has been dinged a few times this offseason. He has made the team IMHO. They should ease up on him as much as they can.
Perkins has also been dinged a few times. He needs the practice but limited participation in 3rd game. Maybe they'll ease up on him too?

Harry is out at least 4 weeks. Sounds like more than a mild sprain!

I think this injury settles the Harry discussion.

Shouldn't this be posted in "Stupid News?"
It should be posted under a new thread. Super Fucking Stupid Suggestions.

The giants don't have an edge rusher and trade for the Patriots' 2020 sack leader for a 6th Round pick and they also get a 7th? The guy who suggested that must be a New Yorker who wears thicker homer glasses than mine.
