I think the hurry was more to try and get to the line and snap before a challenge could happen, because the catch was questionable

Didn't notice that... I didn't realize that catch was even questionable....

It's confounding to me how the NFL still pays announcers to talk about football who refer to a "helmet to helmet" penalty.

Anyway, fantastic effort today. Too many penalties on the D in the early going, but they corrected course well enough. Russell got a bit greedy on that INT, but outside of that it's really hard to complain about anything. We chewed them up about like I expected, maybe even a little more....I don't think you can ever expect to beat a team by 24 in the NFL.

Bring on the bye!

boy does the offense look more complete, able to start off strong, score in the redzone, and convert 3rd downs.

almost like firing bevell made all the difference

Weren't they something like 3 for 5 today? That was pretty much Bevell's average that you were complaining about so often.

Do you still talk to Uncle Bevell? Must have a lot of time on his hands being unemployed and all. Guess every NFL team didnt see what you saw.

Couldn't care less about Bevell. Just pointing out that if he was unhappy with Bevell, then why is 3 of 5 with a red zone interception is a good thing this year? But, I guess I should be happy Bevell's gone - a game like this would've had people bitching he needed to be fired for his uninspiring play calling and poor coaching - so, that's at least something.

Playing a pretty terrible Raiders team didn't hurt either.

Yeah but we've been running well for four straight games so it's just not the Raiders bad defense...

Love how we chewed up the last 5:30 minutes of the game with 7 straight runs and 2 kneel downs...

if you are only counting FGs. our offensive redzone woes seem to have been fixed. as does starting slow and perpetually scoring 0 points in the first half.

Only saw bits and pieces of the game on redzone and it looked like a solid victory. I'm sure there were some mistakes but those can get pushed to the side this week. A full complete game is what was needed and hopefully this gets the team going and get a winning streak started.

Really solid overall showing. First possession TD, which hasn't happen in like 30+ games. Oakland was never really in it. We beat them up in the trenches on both sides; their OL was in shambles to the point Gruden wouldn't run any play by the 2nd half that had Carr looking down field because they couldn't block that long.

Excellent! Sometimes this is the type of game that instills the confidence to get the ball really rolling and possibly a winning streak. Added bonus we have more home games then road the rest of the way.

I still feel this team has not found it's self or it's identity to be honest. They are close but i just feel when all is said and done they will be light years better than they are now.

Nice to see the Hawks Defense back in the top 5 in Scoring. Sure playing the Raiders helped a lot but i believe we have not even came close to seeing how good this defense will be. I am ecited to see them play with KJ out there and more time for the young guys because we got a LOT of them.

The team is still really young with new coordinators. I honestly think this team will be much better in the 2nd half than they were in the 1st half of the season. Which isn't a bold claim given how this team generally is.

I still think 10-6 is a very achievable record.

Penny looked good, he did what he needed to do and was close to being the leading rusher on the team. He ended the game with the Highest YPC average of all the Running backs and 3rd on the team ( #1 for RB ) in receiving yeards. I think once he gets down to like 220-230 he will be the back we all hoped he was going to be.

10-6 is a little to rich for me on this team. But if any coach can turn a bunch of YOUNG kids into winners we know it's Pete Carroll. Next offseason we Need DE and WR help and we need to hit on them. I think the Oline for the most part is set for the next 5+ years ( Not counting Brown we might need a LT in a couple seasons )

I don't see why this team can't win 10. Let's look at the remaining schedule.

@Lions
Chargers
@Rams
@Panthers
Packers
49ers
Vikings
@49ers
Chiefs
Cardinals.

You really don't think we can win 7 of those games? I certainly do. I see this team splitting the remaining road games and winning 4 or 5 of the remaining home games.

i don't think this team is going to go 7-3 in the final 10 no. They might make it to 9 wins but i think the youth will bite them a couple more times and Seabass will cost them another game. Speaking of Seabass, i have to admit going into every kick thinking they are going to miss makes me so much more happy when they do hit it. I think i will go that route from here on out on ANY kicker the hawks have. Expect a miss and feel the joy when they make it.

They might not win 10. OTOH, they could still win 11.

If injuries don't screw us this team is pretty good and has one of the best QBs in football. And this is arguably the best OL that Russell Wilson has played behind, which isn't saying much.

yes but they are hurting for WR if you ask me and the youth all over this team is going to bite them a few more times this season. 11 wins is a pipe dream, they are just as likely to go 4-12 as they are to go 11-5. lets not forget who these teams are that they have beat. ( Cards, Cowboys and Raiders )
