I am not gonna be upset if Brees' wins it.
The Saints are a different team if he isnt there. Hell they might be fighting for a wild Card without him, maybe even worse. Since we are talking players value to a team.
I know stats are sexy, but you dont see the Saints trying to pass for TDs near the goal line when they can run it in. Even though the final stat sheet wont be as impressive at end of game the QB did just as well.

Chiefs had a running game as well, play in a system, where Alex Smith was in the running for MVP for much of the year. So while Mahomes has the Dan Marino like #'s. the system supports other QBs while maybe not doing quite as well, would have some impressive #'s. So again if you are looking at Players value to a team.
If you play in an explosive offense, you should have great stats.
When you ask me which QB you want in a final drive Brees or Mahomes on any team. I would still take Brees today.

Now I could make a great case for Mahomes obviously, but I feel everyone else will be doing that already.

Point of this post is I wont be upset & think of a travesty if/when Brees wins it. There is an argument for it.

BTW for those thinking Goff, Gurley & Donald. When looking at Players value to a team, they all kinda take away from each other which kinda takes them out of the running. Wrong or right.

no i mean its brees or mahomes........but vegas legit has them neck and neck.

Who will win. Toss up........Regardless of what we all think, the vegas odds keep going back and forth bw the two. Im thinking this week they swing back to brees due to KC losing, and Saints winning. Theres a very very real possibility its brees
