The running game is more valuable to Seattle than wilson
They play off each other, obviously, but Seattle is a run first team.

Wilson has been one of the most valuable players in the NFL since he came into the league, though. I just dont think he can be MVP.

Agreed.....but RW not even making the Pro Bowl is a joke.

When you look at the year Brees and Goff had I can see how they made it in over Russ. But Rodgers? I'm not sure about that. All he's done is thrown for a bunch of yards. Russ should have been in over him in my opinion. Russ has a better comp %, more TD,s, and a better passer rating. And Russ has run for over a hundred yards more than Rodgers.

My sentimental choice would be either Brees or Rivers. But it's hard logically to go against Mahomes.

His picks are gonna hurt him. However, Brees and Rivers are probably resting this week so Mahomes might get it, especially if he gets to 50 TDs.

As a Colts fan what bad luck it is for Andrew Luck be having the year he is having at the same time as those other two qbs. Any other season Luck would be in the conversation but because of the greatness Mahomes and Brees is having he is being completely ignored.

One more thing. If Russ was picked for the Probowl he'd actually go too. What are the odds that Rodgers will chose to play? About zero I think.

As much as Donald deserves it, there's a guy on the same team that deserves it more.

Actually, wait - Seattle has Brian Schottenheimer as their offensive coordinator.

Give Wilson the MVP

Goff was really hot earlier in the year, but look at the overall numbers. The only thing he has on Russell is yards, and that's solely a function of throwing it a lot more. Russell has a better comp %, more TDs, less INTs, and a better passer rating. Oh, I take it back....Goff is slightly better on ypa at 8.4 vs 8.1.

Yeah, I suspect RW is going to make it one way or another -- Rodgers out for "injury" or Goff/Brees not playing due to being in the SB (my bet is Brees right now).

What if I argue they are more on the OL than Gurley, focal-pointedness is not an argument for MVP, imo.

I would argue that it doesn't matter if it's on the OL more than the RB because the RB is the one rewarded with the stats. However, if a RB is awarded an MVP, I would say that RB would have to buy his O-Line some presents lol.

I would also agree that a lot of the RBs stats are at the mercy of the OL. Bad OL, more likely than not the RB will have bad stats. Good OL, same outcome.
