I could make a case for mahomes, but like I said earlier in the season. Unless Brees falls off a cliff they will vote him for it.

Brees kind of has though is the thing. He has relinquished the efficiency marks back to Mahomes, so his argument has kind of dried up. At least, if this is fact based voting, and not media bs.

That’s where ur missing the point. This partially a media thing. Hence the odds. And there will be a huge push towards whoever finishes the last two weeks hot. Neither has been dominant like the beginning of the year. Yes mahomes ya been better. But not crazy.

I am being realistic not fact based.
Like I said I can make the argument right now for Mahomes.

Brees should have had one before now. He is getting long in the tooth. He broke a bunch of NFL all time records this year. getting the MVP in the same year is like the NFL wrapping this little story up with a nice bow. If Brees is close he will win it.

If Brees wins it'll be a lifetime achievement award. Actually I think it's crazy he's never won one. He too great of a QB to never have won. That's why it wouldn't surprise me if he finally wins it.

Seahawks fans disagree.

1) Mahomes
2) Rivers
3) Mack
4) Brees
5) Donald

:pound:

What are you talking about? That comment of mine had nothing to do w/ the MVP award. It was about the total awesomeness of duh Butt Fumble.

My sentimental choice would be either Brees or Rivers. But it's hard logically to go against Mahomes.

One year he got jobbed because they gave it to Peyton that year

Yeah I know. According to some Pats fans Peyton sucked & is 1 of the most overrated QB's of all time.

i think it's Mahomes' to lose but Rivers is right there and if Mahomes were to slip up this week & the Chargers overtake the Chiefs with Rivers playing well, it might be Philip.
The Brees statements are pretty accurate as well. He will likely get a lot of support due to the record breaking and his age so wouldn't be overly surprised if he won it. Obviously, the past month has been less then stellar whereas even in losses, Mahomes has still been really good.
I think we can't understate how the voters will vote for the guy near the end of his career due to sympathy or whatever. That goes for Rivers as well. And the voters might look at Mahomes and figure he will have a shot at a few of these.
