Mahomes wont win just based off his interceptions. Brees is 2nd best in the NFL with 5 only behind Rodgers who has 2. Meanwhile Mahomes is tied for 5th worst with 11. Now obviously Interceptions aren't the only factor but I think Brees is having the better year overall despite all of the TD's Mahomes has thrown.

dude, i keep telling you the logic. You can choose to believe it or not. You can choose to believe the odds or not. You can choose to believe vegas or not. Thats up to you. Ive never argued with the stats. Im arguing the chances of who will actually win. Im betting the odds changed after this week. as they do weekly, and are back in the favor of brees.

It's easily offset by the TD% and rushing; especially when there is a noticeable air yards difference (Mahomes is attempting much more difficult throws). As I pointed out in the other post, it's actually an above average mark, and could move up a spot if he plays an INT-less game against Oakland this Sunday.

Again, the gap in sack percentage isn't compelling enough to offset the TD and rushing gap, imo. Mahomes averages a full half yard more per attempt on passes.

Agreed- it's very easy to argue Brees' stats are inflated and are inconsistent.

There is also surrounding talent to account for....and I think most would agree that for the bulk of the year, Mahomes has had superior talent to work with.
