Cancelling the Titans and Steelers was protecting the Patriots too? Why didn't they protect the Patriots from having to play the Chiefs shorthanded?? That statement makes absolutely no sense.

Because the NFL wants to protect the Chiefs too and not have them face Newton! Gilmore also tested positive after he played in KC game. So there is that theory! (2 star players down). Fangio had to make that comment after grumbling about it first. All in all we don’t really care, but it is fun to talk about.

Denver Broncos have been in communication with NFL about reports on Patriots positive test and are proceeding forward with Sunday’s preparation. All they can do until get more info. At some point, Broncos’ interest should be considered in my opinion. If game moved, Denver could go 24 days between games and have no positive tests. Could move back to Tuesday I guess. Yes, Fairness is complicated in pandemic. But some consideration should be made. Denver7

Rescheduling it is a nightmare. Colts are reporting that they have closed the facility due to multiple positives.

This thing is not going to just up and disappear. If guys can go home and have kids in school (if open) or they stop at 7-11 on the way home to pick up a half gallon of milk, there always the potential for exposure and contraction of the bug.

The problem is not knowing who or what the affected player has been in contact with. If one guy is negative and carrying it, and hugs a bunch of Bronos after the game, the plane becomes infected on the way back.

A big issue in the Northeast is all of the people that have bailed out of New York and are bringing it with them.

Here in NH the leaf peepers started coming in two weeks ago. New Hampshire went from nearly zero new case to more than 1000 new cases since October 1. They bring it in, stay in motels and eat in all of the restaurants and the masks come off in the buses. An then go home and go to the hospital because they saw all of the pretty leaves and think they got it here. And those same buses stop at Foxwoods Casino for a day on the way back too.

The Broncos are in Massachusetts and I guarantee at least one of them picks it up in the hotel or a restaurant and brings a new bug back to Colorado.

The league should have shifted the game location to Denver. It already screwed the Broncos out of a bye week so why not compensate them by allowing the extra home game? Besides, it provides incentive for teams like the Pats to bolster their protocols. And there is precedence for this: the New Orleans Saints played a "home" game against the Giants up in Jersey back in 2005.

I got a snapchat from a member of the Broncos today, and he was in Denver today.

If we bring the bug back it will likely be because your team can't follow the protocols and carries it over on gameday. Maybe that is the problem. Former Bronco and Iowan... James Ferentz was the player that tested positive. He is on the Patriots practice squad. So no wonder the NFL is all about this game going on. It isn't Newton and Gilmore out.

My only problem with the game on Sunday is that it is an early Kickoff when if the game would have been played last Sunday it would have been a late kickoff, but now it is an early kickoff which is always difficult when going West to East.

I don’t think the NFL or the NFLPA wants to see any forfeits. If the players do not play the games then the players don’t get paid.
