People say this every year.

There is good and bad things about our schedule just like everyone elses.

I am always annoyed how they schedule us vs KC though.

I am always annoyed how they schedule us vs KC though.

Yeah, it's a near fetish-like fascination the league has: Broncos @ Chiefs IN DECEMBER most years. This year we even travel on a short week, but the Chiefs get a bye before they come to Denver.

These nuances are going to make any wins against the Chiefs that much better.

As for the video, while that's a new metric, I don't see how it truly screws the Broncos. I think there are some things the league should be doing to ensure fairness in scheduling (for example, syncing up bye weeks so that teams coming off bye weeks will only play other teams coming off bye weeks) but there are some things they can't fix. A team playing on MNF is going to have a shorter week to prepare for their next opponent. The only way to eliminate that is to do away with MNF. The international travel is another one. I was surprised we didn't get our bye after the London game, but I am actually okay with it since we have what appears to be one of our "should win" opponents that following week.

Lots to make of this schedule and there are infinite ways to analyze nuances in the schedule. I do it too, but I think ultimately it all amounts to conversation to get people through the off season more than meaningful data on how scheduling nuances affect performance.
