Lock will learn a lot from this and still gets the victory.

when was the last time Denver scores on its first 6 possessions. Missed Fant Gordon and Hamler.

Gordon has been playing good for us . Need him inside the 10.

If you had told me Lock's line would be 10/24 for 189-0-2 I'd tell you this would be a blowout loss for the Broncos.

That defense is legit.

I don't know if the defense is legit. New England will struggle this year with that o-line and that poor wide receiver core. No speed on that team.

I think the defense has been pretty reliable so far. They didn't get much help from the offense through the first 3 games. Much like the last few seasons. I think we have a good unit, we just need the offense to step up and do their part more consistently. Complementary football.

It's unfortunate this year has shaped up the way it has. With COVID and all the injuries because I think no matter how the team develops through the remainder of the season this team will leave us wondering "what if" regarding some of the big names we have in the training room. I am hopeful they keep things afloat and are in the playoff discussion, and maybe Von Miller can return, get into playing shape through the last few games of the regular season, then be ready to really peak when the the playoffs arrive.

Denver’s a mid range team who’s arrow should be pointing up.

14-2 is the record of our 3 losses. super bowl caliber teams. Had a chance to beat 2 of the 3

That's a very good point. I think this team is underrated a bit. Definitely need to get healthy on offense, but we're better than our record, IMO.

I'll buy this. It definitely appears that way after 5. I am still very hopeful they can manage 9-7 and #7 at a minimum, but considering there are only 16 teams in the conference that essentially would make them a mid-range team!

They are definitely a mentally tough team. To have a #3 QB starting on a short week, even against the winless Jets and hang 37 on them is no small thing. To go into Gillette and despite a few late mistakes hold on to beat the Patriots is impressive. And that's on Lock's second complete game of the season.

There is still an immense potential for growth with this team, which is why I'm not writing off this season just yet. They manage an upset win over the Chiefs next week and they're 3-3 and it's an entirely different season than it was a couple weeks ago.

Doubt we beat the chiefs
Just compete and not be out of it by the 4th would be a win at Arrowhead

some team may very well make the playoffs with a 8-8 record

outside of the chiefs , denver can win against any other team they play.

8-8 is not out of the question even at 2-4
3-3 would be huge with the biggest wins back to back since 2015

Even a loss, those 4 losses would be against teams with most likely a 21-5 record

the schedule does not get harder after next week

The Chiefs come to Denver next week.

I would say it is unlikely that we beat the Chiefs next week, but if the Broncos start fast, and the Chiefs start slow we have a chance. If we get down big then I don’t see us rallying. It will also help if we get Bouye, and others back off IR.

Here's some gag-inducing excuse making:

I found it funny how the announcers during the game had so much sympathy for the Patriots with the number of players that are out. They barely mentioned that the Broncos had several out players out, including Von.

Shelby needs to get paid, and Lindsay too.

Speaking of getting paid, Lock needs Sutton.

The bias is real.

Great win yesterday. Gutting out a victyvs a good team, early East coast is a great win. Finally found a way to win a close game. D was fantastic. Game balls to Shelby Harris, Michael Ojemudia, Malik Reed, Josey Jewell and Bryce Callahan.

A good win for your team.
I for one didn't see that coming.

I don't know if the defense is legit. New England will struggle this year with that o-line and that poor wide receiver core. No speed on that team.
Several things to consider.......................Not one player on the Patriots OL was playing his normal position and three of them were backups or promted from the practice squad. And they lost the backup RT with an ankle.

The Patriots had one practice in two weeks. Any team afflicted with Covid will suffer the same fate. Facilities must be shut down and 100% disinfected professionally. The NFL is all timing and precision. Patriots had neither.

The Broncos won and Locke managed the game very well. As previously mentioned, being in the red zone four times and inside the ten twice and coming away with field goals is a disaster. You got away with one yesterday, it will not happen again.

Any team that can get through this season without a Covid problem will make the playoffs if they have the core. If they don't and the Patriots show all of their weaknesses yesterday, they are destined for a top ten draft pick in 2021.

Belichick has $32M right now to spend and the Trade Deadline is 4:00 pm on Nov. 3. I wonder if he'll be busy trying to vote or trying to pry Julio Jones from the Falcons.

Good post. Great points.

Still, a win is a win. That’s all most remember come play off time. Week to week league and injuries matter.
