Well, the Pac 12 was the Pac 10, and earlier, the Pac 8. Well, perhaps next year they can be the Pac 6. The "Big 10" now has 18 teams but still called the Big 10. Nobody can count when it comes to conferences. Actually, I think the larger the conferences grow, the college football will take dives every year. The mega conferences have destroyed the regional ideal. I miss the Big 8!Just more proof higher education sucks these days... Even I can count to twelve.
Big 8 was good. I think soon the SEC and possibly the BIG 10 will likely have more power than the NCAA.Well, the Pac 12 was the Pac 10, and earlier, the Pac 8. Colorado Mining and Texas State after that.Soon Iowa Tech State A&M will be in the big 12.
That's because someone else is paying for it. Oregon St. and Wash. St. have $110 million left in the Pac12 kitty. I would imagine they will help out significantly or pay the entire $17 Million exit fee.Well I finely see Boise St is going in the Pac 12 on my phone this morning .
Colorado Mines was a doormat when I played at the D-II level at Fort Lewis College (Durango, CO) in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. We were pretty good then. But these days, Colorado Mines won the conference last year, and my old school went 0-11. Yikes! When I was at Fort Lewis we were called the Raiders. Some wimpy campus leader changed the name to Sky Hawks. And they mostly stunk regularly after that. But, I don't think Mines will go to a higher level!!!! Too much on academics with their campus over in Golden.Colorado Mining and Texas State after that.
